My husband is a Marine Corps boot camp and he sent a request home to send power bars. I don't eat power bars, I find them rather disgusting, but since there are so many on the market someone must like 'em LOL I am prolly heading to Sams Club or buying them online (I may buy online since I know it will cost me a small fortune to mail 'em) Do you eat them? If so, what brand and what flavor?

LOL... when I read your topic header, I was thinking of the electric power bars that help with surge protection. I don't eat any power bars, but I think it's a great idea to post the question on here. I hope you get a lot of replies with advice as to which ones taste best. Granted, isn't there an actual "power bar" brand out there? Another method you might consider trying is asking your local pharmacist or family doctor. I know it may sound odd, but they have background knowledge on things like this.

LOL Yeah there is a "powerbar" brand, but I think those are really nasty! There is a GNC up the street if I get desperate and need to talk to someone. I am hoping I can just send the Cliff Energy bars. I think those are more popular, plus they are cheaper. I can get a box of 24 shipped directly from amazon for $25. The powerbars are available to be shipped from Sams, but they only come 15 to a box and are just under $24 with shipping.

Oh... I have a GNC store near my place too. I forgot about that. That is definitely the place to go to get information on the various bars out there.

I'm not sure which brand is best. I eat them every now and then but I am not too familiar with the brand names.

I like granola bars. I buy them often. I am not sure if they will be like energy bars, but to me they work and kinda nice to have on the purse or while working. My favorites are banana nut, oats and honey, pecan. Did your husband mention a flavor or brand? And because your hubby in in military service can you get a discount sending him things?
