I do but this year I will be making ours from ceramics. I have listed a few sets of ornaments on ebay in hopes of selling some also. I will post pics of them in this discussion. I love Christmas time it is my all time favorite Holiday. I love the spirit of giving that comes over everyone. I love the true meaning of Christmas as well. It is just a lovely time of year.

I love making handmade Christmas presents and ornaments. Years ago, when my mother only had six grandchildren, I made cross-stitched heart-shaped ornaments - one with each of the their names on them for my mother. The ornaments go on her tree each year, along with other ornaments that I've made for her over the years. I never thought much about it as the family grew until two years ago my mother called me to tell me that my youngest niece wanted to know why she didn't have a heart on the tree. So this year, I guess, I'll be making five new hearts - one each for the four grandchildren that have been born since I made the original set, and one for the first great-grandchild.

I used to make a ceramic ornament for every child in the family, but many of them got broken. My sister's husband would go on drunken rampages, and of course if others are not put away carefully they get broken.I did themes every year, and took photos, but I do not know where they are now.

I don't buy special ornaments every year, just when I find occasion to buy one (a new baby, for example, and this year I want to get some with family pictures on them as gifts for relatives). the rest of the time we use the old ones we already have. I think it's neat that you are making them.

Yes, I do buy special ornaments. I have always gotten my kids a new ornament each year for Christmas as long as I can remember. This is a tradition I hope my kids continue with their families when tehy get older. Alot of times I take them to a store and allow them to choose. But I have brought some I think they would like and gave as a surprise to.

The old world santa ornament is really pretty. My mom makes an angel ornament each year for everyone she knows. They are all white just like the your santa. I have a beautiful collection now, they mean a lot to me.

I love stars and collect them. It started when I read about a tradition in Finland of hanging a "heaven" and hanging stars from it. My husband's predominant heritage is Finlander, and I just loved the idea. I have done different versions, but now I leave them up over a double doorway. I have quite a few. Some my kids made for me, some I have bought. I already have found my first star for this year.
