Now the gay right activists are blaming Saddleback chuch. This is the minister who allowed John McCain and Barack Obama to speak at his church about their views. His name is Rick Warren and he is also the writer of the bestselling book, The Purpose Driven Life. I feel sorry for them. They are going way too far in trying to legalize this whole thing.
I do not believe that it has anything to do with the separation of church and state. And it certainly does not have anything to do with the candidates speaking at the church. They act as if we do not have enough since to know what their gay marriage agenda is all about. The truth of the matter is that America has spoken at the polls and there are more people against it, than for it.
Majority rules, right? There is no way that the Supreme Court should be able to over-turn what we have decide. This would ruin our hold judicial system. If they had won, I personally would not be picketing anything. I would be somewhere on my knees praying for mercy for what our country has become.

I went to Saddleback last summer and I get Rick Warren's e-mails, too. I do remember him stating an opinion about Prop 8, but he didn't push it really hard, just talked about it a little bit. He was a bit bugged that a 2% minority was dictating what 98% of us should do. I actually didn't vote either way for or against Prop 8, I left it blank. But, I don't think Saddleback had anything to do with the passage of prop 8. They're just protesting them because they are a evangelical megachurch. I don't think prop 8 discriminates against anyone because homosexuals can enter into registered domestic partnerships where they get all the benefits of marriage that married people do.
