I was blessed with two wonderful kids, too. My son, who was born in 1980 and my daughter who was born two years later, almost on his birthday. My precious granddaughter was born 16 months ago and is such a joy.
My son passed away in 2004 due to a drunk driver. We miss him every day but are grateful that we had him for almost 24 years. We wish we could have had him longer but it was not in the stars.
I am also grateful for all of my other family and friends who are always there for me. Life has it's ups and downs and it is always good to stop and think about the blessings that we have been bestowed and learn from the hardships.

though it has been a little harsh on you for the loss you have suffered too early right in his full bloom!!

Courage is when you choose to suffer. It is called existing. You have no choice but you do have a choice to give up because something bad has happened, or go on and live a good life. It is okay to be happy after losing a loved one, but it is never quite the same.

Thank you. I never thought that I could get through it but my belief and faith helped. Also, I have friends and family who have suffered the same loss and they made it, so it helped me see that it could be done.
It did help that my son was a man and I knew that I had no control over it. If he had been younger, I think that there would have been some guilt... you know the "I should have done..." thoughts.
Any loss is hard, I think it is harder for children because we feel that it is somehow out of order and that we must be the protectors of our children.
I miss him everyday but I can handle it now. The tears come but they pass quickly and are not so heart-wrenching as they were in the early days when I clung to anything and everything that was his, just to try and find a way to feel him again.

I am so Blessed in and I also considered my children as a most special part of my life and glad to see that they were some of them who is grown up from an ex-wife from a children of 5 the eldest is 20, 9 which a girl, Son which is 16, 13, 4 and from my present wife for 10 years we have a daughter which is 18 months old......

I have been blessed with only one daughter and one grandaughter. My daughter is an only child and her father is an only child. I have one brother and he is not married. So,my daughter has one uncle. My daughter is a single mother and we know nothing about my grandaughter's father or his family. I am just thankful for the small family that I do have. I am also blessed to still with me my 83 year old mother.

on the contrary we are a full family!!
we are four from our parents !!
we three brothers have three, four and three children each!!
my wife comes from a family where they are seven of them brothers and sisters!!
and my mom are also seven brothers and sisters!!

Hi!I am definitely grateful for having two wonderful girls.aged 18 and 11.They are my inspirations to move on.We treat each other as friends but they know the line.They are my very special gifts from above aside from my parents and siblings.

I am unmarried and don't have any children of my own but I am lucky enough to be an aunt for 15 neices and nephews and a great-aunt for close to 30 grand neices and nephews... I first became an aunt at the age of three and forever the family grows and grows so I have the opportunity to be with children and to watch them grow.
I also sometimes have gotten children and their parents in my counseling sessions in the past and have helped the children feel better and their parents to parent better.
I enjoy the children I come into contact with and yes, I do thank God for that opportunity as children are wonderful.

I too have been blessed with 3 kids now aged 3, 5 and 7. My brother lost his son to cancer when he was 3 and a half who I think about a lot. I am really grateful that I have healthy sons, all three of them but am so sad for the loss of my nephew.

Yes all children are a blessing. I have been blessed with three wonderful children too,two girls and a boy, ages 15,12,10. they are everything to me,they are my life. Not that they do not tire me sometimes and make me feel nervous but I cannot imagine my life without them! I always pray God to keep them healthy and to take care of them because if anything happens to them I think I'd die!

Yes, I am very thankful for my beautiful, wonderful and sweet, adorable kids too! They make my day like sunshine when it gloomy! I love them all dearly! Mines are still young.. My son asks me everyday for a kiss before he leaves to go to school in the mornings. He is only six years old.. All my kids are very sweet! It is so great to know that you appreciate yours kids too! Be very thankful indeed! It is all a blessing from God.
