the kids are older this year so we have all talked and we are not doing toys , wants or anything like that. i do my shopping on black friday. we have decided that since money is tight and things are ruff this year we are going to get each other things we need. like clothes, make up, shoes, new blankets , things like that. then at income tax we will give them 200.00 each and they can spend the way they want. they are 11 and 14 so therefor they understand. i feel so guility though. i always get them a big present to share. like last year it was a trampoline. then we get them other things too like a new breakable doll that they can add to collection. and arts and craft stuff etc. this year though it is not in budget. they need pants, sweater, jackets that fit, shoes, things like that. i need make up i am using halloween make up for eye shadow right now cause i am out lol. lucky with some powder you cant tell lol. are your gifts going to be different then normal or are you going to go ahead and go crazy in debt trying to keep it as normal as you can for your kids.

I am buying one thing that they really want and an outfit. It is going to be alot different. We are cutting back on how many we actually buy for.

Yes. most definitely. We will not be spending like we did last year at all. We do not have it for one. I want to make sure to get my bills paid off also before it gets any worse. That will take some time and money itself to do.

We are going to buy each other things we really need. We have thought more about not wasting and making sure that all the most important things are taking care of first. It will not be an elaborate Christmas. We will not be spending as much as we did last year.

Being that it is just my husband and I and all we buy for are the two grand kids (and Grandson's birthday, January 6th) no there will not be many changes. Our anniversary is early December, so we usually buy each other a gift that covers both occasions, plus we go out to dinner some time between the two events. The grandkids are still young, so they still get gifts, and we try to be sure to differentiate between Grandsons birthday and Christmas gift, though he gets both on the same visit...for his birthday party. What we usually do is Give Liam and his sister their Christmas gifts at the same time, when we first arrive for his birthday party. Then he gets his birthday gifts later during his party.
