Do you have music that makes you so happy that you cry ?

Well i just downloaded some music from the artists in Walt Disney's "Little Mermaid" Jodie Benson (Ariel) and Samuel E. Wright (Sebastian, the red lobster) and more 2 days ago. It was about 23:30 but me and my girl liked it so much that we staid up to 2 a.m. and listened to them, and it seemed that our sleep was gone and we were really happy and excited. You will probably say i am a hopeless romantic but I should say that every time that i listen to certain songs that i just love so much they make me so very happy that i cry of happiness. How about you, do you have any music that makes you so happy that you want to or actually cry ?

I am glad to hear it but could you elaborate a little on the subject ? Which songs did this to you or better said for you ?

I have those songs in my playlist for months. I also suggest some songs from Walt Disney's "Mulan" (like Christina Aguilera's Reflection), "Hercules" (like I won't say (I'm in love)), "Tarzan" (like Phil Collins' You'll be in my heart), or "Beauty and the Beast" (like the theme song Tale as old as time)

I've seen some clips from the Broadway "Little Mermaid" representations on YouTube. It was interesting, but I'm more used to the original Ariel voice

Oh yes!!! The song from Rescuers always makes me cry. Also other songs specially if I can relate a story to it. Sometimes, I can't even sing is as it brings tears to my eyes and I really have to duck to avoid people to see me. They might say I'm losing my mind, specially that it's from a cartoon! LOL

Well let them say that, but we know better - i think this is one of the ways that we enjoy life at the fullest of it's potential - through music. I actually believe music is the next important thing after the basics needed in a human's life.

I know what you mean - it's like an old rock ballad from an unknown melody called Jeans said: "I'll be dancing the night away" :)

Hi there Karlibiri. You would be surprised to know that not every one has songs that make them cry, there are people who refuse to cry as they think that would make them week (i know that's false, but they actually believe it).

Hi there riyasam. Don't get me wrong, i was talking about music in any language. Those examples do make me cry of happiness but there are also others that are emotive to me, and probably, if i understood them better i would relate more to the foreign ones as well.

I can't think of any songs or music in particular that make me cry elitess but my Grandmother used to cry every time she heard "It's a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong. I think it reminded her of my Grandfather so brought out happy and sad tears all at once! There are certain songs that get me energized though!

I havent heard a song that has moved me to tears yet. Though there are lots of songs that tug at my heartstrings and might just move me to tears when I hear them. Mostly are the Lion King songs and some other Disney movies as well. But probably the most strongest tug comes from the OST of the anime's that I grew up watching. Just remember that my batchmates and I would discuss about such anime's and so it brings back memories. The songs themselves are good already but when added with something more personal, well, you can guess at that.

Yes I love music very much.Ilove Bangla music. That is my mother tongue.Bangla songs are very melodious.I also like Indian classical music.Indian classical music has thousands years tradition. Bangla music has relationship with nature and metaphysic. Some time tears come out when I hear Bangla songs.I also hear English music. It is so instrumental that creates pain to my ears.

Yes I have that feeling whenever i hear the music that reminds me of happen during that time. Music in memories. I always relate myself to a song i think it was related to my life. Mostly are love songs. It depends on time when it was applicable. Those songs that I feel I was about to cry are christian songs or religious songs. A refection songs and reminds me of my life when I was still in sin.

I feel the said effect when I listen to my favorite Christian songs. It feels so good and I feel a boost of my faith. And I believe singing is twice praying. Sometimes it makes me cry. LOL Walt Disney musical are great, I think. They are inspirational indeed.

Yes. i love music. Each song puts me and a certain mood. I love that. Maybe the little mermaid makes you feel a certain feeling from that time when you used to watch it. Some songs bring me back to good times or bad ones. tiffany
