Should I ahve been Cunning and Selfish?

never be something you are not, integrity is the most important characteristic a man or woman has, walk tall and hold your head up and let the world know there is a good man or woman going by, there are so few of them left.

I am sorry to hear subha12, that you were cheated and taken advantage of. Years ago, I gave up worrying about my responses. I figure if the person choses to misinterpret my kindness and gentleness for weakness, that is their problem and fault: Not mine. The bigger picture here is not your immediate response, but do you let that person keep doing these things to you. If the answer is "yes", then you need to no longer keep that person in your life.

Friends do let us down. So we must safeguard our hearts when this things happen. It can happen to everybody so we must be so hard on ourselves. Being cheated and friendship fall out is part of reality. We have to be strong and fight back. © ronaldinu 2008

Things happen and our belief and trust gets shattered. It happens with almost everyone subha. But its there loss. Why should you change yourself into something you are not and that too a negative attitude. Why should you let them affect you. We emerge stronger and wiser. It does feel very bad at that time but later we realise it has enriched us and we become careful.

Hello subha.....Yes I understand how you felt.....The whole world is becoming self centered and ruthless,its difficult to find true friends.Some people even pretend to be friends and take advantage of our friendship,and when they get what they want,they drift away........This is the way of the world.But its not easy for people like you and me to become cunning, and selfish because our conscious will keep pricking us....The only alternative left is to pick the right kind of friends.....

yes it is write that when your were cheated by some one of your closed then you think that you were wrong in your attitiude and you think that should also be cunning and selfish but i think its not that write way of thinking you should be right be in your manner, that type of person never get satisfied in their life they have only money , but finally they don't have any type of inner satifaction which is the precious thing..

Never blame yourself for what others had done wrongly to you, subha12. You have the right to feel what you feel, and if they had cheated you it means they have something which they do not like with you. What I am trying to say is not everybody is happy with what we have. Some of our closest friends are actually our most dangerous enemies. We must look at how they react when we receive something like a gift or get a bonus in our company. We will know if they are jealous by seeing their facial expression and reading their immediate reaction after they know about the news. From there we can know they are befriending us sincerely or just to destroy us.

I'm not really sure. I have been cheated so many times. I am more aware of it now and do not allow myself to go out of my way for people in my life because they always take advantage of me every time.

No!You shall not be cunning.Because you cant be, if it is not your nature.See,we people come with specified qualities.Whatever we learn,wherever we born,we have some basic qualities that cant be changed otherwise.If you try to act like others,sure you will lose your originality.Just get away from people who betray you.Sure, you will meet right people on your way.
