Two days before I found and small black cat.I am not superstitious to leave the cat just because he is black.So I took him to my home. I also have a crossed breed small dog.Who is 2 years old girlie dog:).First I thought my dog would not like the cat.But To my surprise my dog accepted the small cat. She thinks that the cat is her puppy and the cat also treats her like his mother. I always notice that the cat tries find the nipples in my dog when he is thristy.I am very happy now to see them together.They both are happy. It is real believe me.

That is great my dogs and cats get along too. I had one cat that would always go up to my big dog and knead his fur and suck on the fur too like hw ould his mother and the dog just acted as if he was getting a really good massage and would lay there sleeping. Unfortunately this closeness to the dog was my kitty's downfall. my neighbors dogs got loose and ran into my driveway and killed my kitty(he did not run because he had no fear of dogs- he loved them) they did not stop there- they killed my other cat that day as well. and they got loose a couple weeks later and went on another killing spree. then finally the dog warden made them but the mother dog down.
but here is a picture of my kitty Slate and his BEST Friend Braedyn (slate also liked to go for car rides- he thought he was a dog)

Its good that your dog has accepted your new cat, bcoz that happens less. Actually, we had a black cat who gave birth to two kittens - one black & one golden. Now, the nearby street dogs did not like cats & so they ruthlessly killed the golden kitten. Seeing that, we don't allow our black kitten to go near any dog.
