I did write a letter, right when it happened. I sent it to all of the politicians in my state and the president. Like it helped, huh?

I like MSV's response, I'm a mother and I'm too big to fail. Guess the government will have to find a new defination of who should get the bailouts.
I wonder if the government gets enough apps from people just like us they will question their actions. Maybe think that all this bailout stuff is just BS.

funny thing though is that the govt has been bailing all of us out to a certain extent. Remember the stimulus package that was passed by congress, a package of tax cuts designed to land in peoples' lap to stimulate the economy. Somehow that didn't work very well, so I suppose bailing out companies like American express won't work too much better either.
