Okay most of us get this ailment of dry skin and possibly cracked skin on our feet. I have it mainly on my heels. The only time I get it is during the warmer months when I am barefoot or wearing sandals. I use a pomice stone when I bathe/showr scrubbing the dried cracked area. But that remedies it for a little while is all. Well my daughter gave me a great bottle of lotion that works wonders for this. It is AVEENO lotion. It is not greasy at all and smells great too. A bnuilt in sun blocker as well. Reading the ingredient list I se it contains oat kernels. Like oatmeal almost. Never had lotion with oat kernels in it before. So what do you use/do for your dry/cracked skin? Any special lotion you prefer? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

It sounds to me like you are doing all that needs to be done for that problem. I don't use any special lotions but the Aveeno lotion sounds nice. I have never used the lotion but used to keep Aveeno bath stuff on hand when the kids were younger. I guess the last time I used Aveeno around here was when my youngest had chicken pox and she soaked in the tub and it helped with the itching.

I also have that problem. I hate wearing shoes around the house and hardly ever wear socks. I use a parafin foot wrap that I got from avon. You rub in onto your feet and get a hot towel and wrap it around your feet. It is heaven!!! They turn out really soft. I do it once a week. I wouldnt change to anything else now. :-)

We do all of that but recently Grandpa, I have gone back to baby oil for more of a lasting affect. I just picked up a new bottle a couple of days ago. I have all the lotions but they just dont seem to last like the oil. What are your feelings about this? Have you tried the oil?

I am a loyal Aveeno customer. I love Aveeno! It works wonders. I have eczema and this is the only lotion that helps at all. I dont like the sun block kind though. My feet are also dry and I have just started using Aveeno's Intense Relief Hand Cream. It is thicker than the lotion, but still not greasy at all. It is more expensive than the regular lotion, but I still really recommend it to you.

Hi grandpa bob! That Minnie is such a smart daughter! Yup! They put oatmeal in everything for skin products! They put it in bath stuff and all kinds of other things for your skin. It is supposed to be very good for you! Amazing and you thought it was only good to eat! I use a lotion with aloe in it. It is a store brand that is exactly like Vasoline Intensive Care. It gets my skin very soft and moist. And I love the smell and it isn't greasy either. My skin gets dry during the winter and summer because my hands are always in water. I use it on my hands, feet, knees, elbow and it really gets them soft. Aveeno is a great brand too. Trust your daughter, she knows what's good for you!

Minnie got this sample from a site she is a member. They send her full sized samples to use and give away then to ask questions of those she gave it to. Then she fills out a form etc for that site. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I do not get it too badly, but that may be because I either put ICY HOT or Vicks Vaporub on my feet with socks, day and night both. The other thing is that my job does not allow me to wear open toed shoes or sandals, so I am protecting my feet from that drying effect.

I don't have dry skin problems - thank goodness!!! But if I did, I'd use Renew, a product I buy through a wellness company online. It's awesome stuff and they also have a full foot-care regimine that my brother absolutely loves. He actually had the same problem as you until last summer when I sent him the foot-care products.

My feet get really dry in the summer time cause i am always barefoot. I even go outside barefoot. What I do is I rub my feet with vaseline and put on a pair of socks before I gp tp bed. Makes my feet nice and soft.

no i have not used something like oat kernel. But in some lotion here, the main ingredient is oat milk. may be its similar. but i have seen plain coconut oil work wonders for me.

Avon Footworks always did the thing for me. But this is also soemthing that I was told from a coworker; Avon's Night Magic Evening Musk is very good on the feet. She said after taking a bath at night, she puts on the lotion, covers her feet in some socks, and the next day, those feet are softer than a baby's butt. She swears by it. Someone mentioned the Pedi Egg, I have to check that out too.

I Love Aveeno products! I have been using Aveeno products since 1986 when I first was diagnosed with eczema when I was a teen and it Aveeno has never let me down. I love their lotion, my favorite is the Lavender oatmeal and I use Aveeno oatmeal bar soap to as a cleansing bar on my face daily. My son was also diagnosed with eczema 3 years ago also and I use Aveeno oatmeal bath in his bath water when his skin breaks out and I use the unscented oatmeal lotion on his skin and Aveeno products also works well on his skin . It does work wonders on dry skin and is really gentle on the skin.. I'm a big fan of oatmeal products in general and if I see a new oatmeal product at the store I usually try it. Oh yeah, if you haven't tried Aveeno body wash you are missing out, that stuff is awesome!:)

I get dry feet allllllllll the time. I usually soak my feet in a foot bath (massaging) then use a pumice stone on them. Some night i use vaseline and wrap my feet in saran wrap with a pair of socks over top the saran wrap and leave it over night. Other nights i use Aveeno (its great for people with allergies) or Barefoot lotion.

I use Neutrogena foot cream. It's a bit greasy but it does the trick. I put it on as soon as I get out of the shower and put on socks right away.
