I don't mind lossing both of them coz i used to live without those things lolz. But if im going to choose hmm maybe the tumble dryer. There.s the other way to cook and heat your food, you can use the stove for it. But for drying clothes specially uniforms is hard without tumble dryer specially when you are living in the cold and rainy country lolz. Happy myloting and keep posting.

I grew up without either one, and we did just fine. My mom was pretty old when she finally got a dryer. I could hang clothes, but then I would end up having to iron, or at least touch up my clothes.

Without a doubt my microwave would go first as I could live without my microwave but never my dryer.

Yea. I can't live without my microwave. I used to have a dryer in my apartment with my roommates but because of it the electricity bill was 400 dollars. Now that it's gone they tell me that it's 200 dollars. So now that I'm out on my own I said that I'm never getting a dryer again until i have a good job and my own place. I'm good paying 1.25 dollars for washing and drying. But my microwave is my best friend since I cook half my meals in it. I even found out how to bake a potato in it. So i'm good.

this is a hard one. I would hate to have to wait for my clothes to dry and I hate when you don't put them in the dryer they feel all stiff and scratchy! I think I agree, I could cook dinner some other way but I'd hate having stiff clothes!

I really couldn't live without either. But if I had to choose, I'd keep the microwave and do away with the dryer. In the summer I could hang the clothes out, and when it's nasty out I can bring them to the laundromat down the road. It's a pain and I hate to do it, but that's what I would choose. I can't live without my microwave even for a day.

I guess I would have to say the microwave. I would like to cut back on how much I use the tumble dryer as it is the energy hog, but I know that I would still manage to eat without the microwave. Just do not ask me to do without my crockpot or slow cooker as well, I would be in trouble then. I do not iron, but if I only hung my clothes, I probably would have to take up ironing.

I would have given the tumble dryer. I live in a hot and sunny country. So getting the clothes dry is not a big problem. © ronaldinu 2008

Well, I do my laundry at my parent's house because I don't have a washer or dryer. For letting me use their dryer, I also do their laundry. But if I had a dryer, and I do have a microwave, I would keep my microwave. I use it to thaw things, to heat things up, and I just know I would use it more. I don't mind letting things dry by themselves, although I would have to make sure I did my laundry in plenty of time to let the clothes dry.

I am with you, microwave. Although I must admit the tumble dryer takes up way too much electric I try and hang it out on the line. That just reminds me I still have a load outside hanging now I best get it in it is dark already!

Well, I don't have a dryer, and I could easily live without a microwave. They are extraneous to living the "good life."

There are only two of use in the house and we both do our own laundry so I think it would be easier to live w/o a dryer. I use the microwave a lot, probably every day. I use it to cook vegetables, melt stuff, heat soup. It's just so much more convenient than the stove. But, if we had kids then I think I would change my tune!

I honestly do not think I could live without either. I could live without the iron for sure . My iron is still in the box and I don't know how to iron.

My dryer, I can always dry things in the living room. We live by the microwave these days. I wouldn't know how to go back to cooking the old fashion way.

Hi ya Anne18 long time no see! I dunno I used to dry stuff in my microwave when I didn't have a dryer well that was until I burnt my son's socks in my mum's microwave. I think she bought another one after that. I know that she recently bought a new microwave because my uncle burnt something in it!! She also had a combi microwave but she couldn't work out how to use it but I don't know what happened to to it! My mum doesn't have a dryer so I know she wouldn't do without her microwave and she does use it a lot. Me, I could cope without either!

Hi Anne, Well I have found out I can quite happily live without my dishwasher which I never thought I would beable to for the simple reason they do get dishes spotless and they are steamed so I liked knowing that my dishes were extra clean but it broke and I was unable to afford a new one at the time and been honest I haven't missed it at all but if your pushing me to choose between those to then in the weather we get in England I would have to say get rid of the microwave although I use mine a lot especially with teenagers in and out all the time hungry but I do need my tumbler.
