I am referring to my baby girl Savanna of course. She has been my main focus hense why i have been lurking on Mylot lately. She is becoming self entertaining so I find myself with a little more freedom to Mylot yippee. Ive missed all my friends and am happy to get the chance to come back even if only for small bits at a time.
As for Savanna shes doing good she is finally starting to gain some weight. She will be 2 months soon and is learning all kinds of new things. She copies everything she sees like smiling, sticking out her tongue and well eating.....I know some will give us a hard time but she is eating baby foods already. She was spitting up her bottles so we started with cereals then baby food. But be assured she still has formula first then if shes still hungry we give her foods.
Ok Ok enough about my princess for now.
As for the question today....What has been the center of yu world lately?

I was wondering when you would come back! I'm glad your little girl is doing well, and finding ways to entertain herself now. The center of my world is my fiance for now, but then again it's also planning our wedding. We've been quite busy, as I am sure you have.

What a little princess. Thanks for dropping in with stories about her. I can't believe it has been 2 months. I adore all the pictures I've seen, she is a beauty.
Center of my world lately..... a precious, full of life & energy, 4 year old whirlwind little cutie (prince) who calls me Mommy. He was sick yesterday and at one point I heard this tiny voice say "Lay down by me, I need you, Mommy" and my world actually stopped spinning briefly.
Good to see you around here, minnie.

So glad you asked. My princess is 36 years old. She is my one and only child. I have done something totally different this year for a Christmas gift and I have really enjoyed this. I started by purchasing a special bag from Ebay, then I started slowly purchasing items I thought she would like or need. I am now finished filling the bag and I'm the biggar kid it seems because now that all these items are bought and pink tissue paper on the top I'm anxious to give it to her. As I say I have really enjoyed doing this I think mainly because I didn't have to fight a crowd which is something I can no longer do, and I just took my time at it. Can you just see Savanna next year at Christmas tearing up paper with her brothers and enjoying all of grandpas' beautiful Christmas lights. He does such a good job. But here I go with my verbal diarrhea again hehehehe.

That gift bag is a great idea i bet she will love it. I cant wait till she can actually enjoy a christmas but i di think she will love the lights this year. I want to get my tree up alreay to see if she likes it.
And thank you i agree a parent knows best im tired of all these rules with babies not all fit into a normal range of things. Like her weight they just want my money by making us come back each week to check her weight. Shes fine shes just a small girl.

I so meant to comment on your method of feeding Savanna, only because i did the same thing. back in the 70's where I come from you had a week stay in the hospital after giving birth and my doctor asked my OK to put pablum in the formula as he didn't feel my daughter was satisfied with just her milk and that was before In left the hospital even. she was 7lbs 1 1/2 oz. at birth and 6lb.15oz. When we went home. I think you're doing great and after having the boys You obviously know your stuff. It shows you're a good Mom!!!

For two and a half years now... the center of my world is my daughter... i have sacrificed a lot for her... my career... time with my friends... movies... etc... etc... but i love every minute of it... i find myself happier and more content where i am right now... than my life three years ago... five years ago... 10 years ago...
It is so nice to know that your baby is doing fine... that is the time when we parents should really enjoy our kids... since they are most vulnerable but cutest during that stage...

The centre of my world lately has been my husband. He has been so since he first came into my life just more than a year ago and now we are married and we couldnt be happier. it is such a great feelling to be in love to know that someone loves you so much and to be able to reciprocate with the same love. oh well I cant even stay away from him for a little while. I miss him while he is gone to work as if he had gone to some other country. sounds crazy but thats what i have gone crazy after my dear hubby and he sure deserves it.

Welcome back, you have been missed. We have understood, new babies take alot of work. Plus you have the hubby and the boys. Your dad has kept us informed with how you and the princess was doing. She is so pretty, and growing fast. You are her momma, you have had two other kids. You know how to feed a baby and when they are hungry. I started my son with cereal when he was 3 weeks old. The formula wasn't satisfying him and he was hungry. If you listen to the "so called" experts your baby will be hungry. You keep doing what ever your doing.
As for me, my main focus has been making money. My son, DIL and kids had lived with me up to a couple of months ago. My son had helped out around here. Now its just me. I got serious about selling on ebay. I am now a power seller and doing alright. I have only been doing it a few months, but I am making money. With Christmas coming I have been concentrating on that alot. I have to cash in when I can. There aren't any jobs out there so I have to do something. I have bills and I like to eat. Take care and check in when you can.

I think work, of all varieties tends to be the center of my world. I have been having fun earning online, and then at my regular job I have been working lots of extra hours. That does not count the freelance writing and then the independent contracting. I am really trying to cut back, because I need to do some major home repairs and cleaning. My daughter from Minnesota is coming to see me soon. Enjoy that little one as much as you can, they sure grow up fast.

The center of my world has been some major medical problems that have all of a sudden popped up. They probably didn't just pop up but been there for awhile. It is making appointments to see doctors and taking tests.
As for your baby girl, don't worry about what people say as to feeding her. My last son got cereal as soon as I thought he could digest it. My daughter cried a lot and the doctor told me that she wanted something and to put my finger into what I was eating, like mashed potatoes or something soft like that, not spicy things and let her taste it. I think she was about 6 months old when I stuck some mashed potatoes in her mouth and she grabbed my finger and wouldn't let go, so from that time on she eat mashed potatoes. My mother had a fit she said oh too young needs a bottle, no she needed real food not formula.

Sorry to hear that i wish you all the best.
As for food I did the same with my first born he would try and get food off my pate so i let him have soft stuff early but not this early lol. Shes not even two months but its what she wants and i figure if she wants it and can digest it then wheres the problem.

Wow, I can't believe Savanna is two months old already! Time goes so quickly. My three lovely daughters have left home, so I suppose my 21yo son is the centre of my world now (apart from my husband, of course!) It would be nice if my son found a nice girlfriend and moved out - I worry too much about him when he stays out all night, etc., so what I didn't know wouldn't hurt me!

Hey minnie! It's you and Savanna! How beautiful! I never get
tired of looking at all the pictures of that gorgous baby!
It's great to hear from you again! Glad the Princess is finally
allowing you some time off to mylot! I think that it's great
that she wants to eat food! Good for her! And you say that
she's little! She looks pretty healthy to me! Don't worry,
we know that you are taking the best care of Savanna! I still
can't believe that she's almost 2 months old. After all that
waiting for her to be born and it seems like it only yesterday!
Yup! Time sure does fly! And Grandpa has got the Christmas
bug already! He keeps us posted on everything! Well you know
that already! So try to stay in touch when the little Angel
is sleeping cause we miss you lots! Take care Minnie and give
Savanna a big hug and kiss for me!

Two months huh? It doesn't seem that long ago when Grandpa Bob was doing his happy dance that Savanna was about to enter the world. I have no children, but when I've gotten a new puppy I could pretty much watch them all day. All the stuff they see and do for the first time is precious. And how much more it must be with a real baby! Puppies are one thing, but babies are in an entirely different category!

Hi Minnie!! So Great to see you!!!!
I am glad that Savanna is doing so well they grow up so fast as you know and so I am glad that you have been enjoying her! So, since you have introduced some cereal is she sitting at two months? Holding her head up?
Love your new avatar by the way! Is that you and Savanna?
Now, for answering your question....
Lately, I have been focusing getting my parents moved which was accomplished at the first of this month and looking for better employment as my hours are being cut back due to a new punch clock system at work! It is so frustrating!! As always, My son is the center of my world but I have been putting a lot of time and focus into these two things as of late!

Its hard to describe but i hold her on my knees propped up it works well and it keeps the bond there since i know its important to a baby to have that closeness while eating at this age.

Yeah Job hunting is never fun but we need my income and with cut back hours my pays will be smaller and then we will certainly be in trouble! I have one interview under my belt but do not think I am getting a call back...Another interview is coming up this coming Thursday...So we'll see!
I had a special chair for my boy that sat on the floor and also had a toy bar you could attach and detach...Do you have something like for feeding Savanna her food in or how do you do it if she's not really sitting up yet?

Well Hello Minnie...its good to hear from you again. I can't believe that Savanna is already almost two months old, time flies doesn't it? Next week my nephew will be 3 mos. old, and it doesn't seem that long either. I hope you all are doing well, it sounds like it. Well the only thing thats been the center of my world lately is my family, I have a great aunt who has been very ill, and I've been spending alot of time with her, and visiting her in the nursing home, she is very precious to us, and we've almost lost her twice within the past couple mos. but she's still hanging in there, she's a strong lady....Have a good day
