Go ok (smush it together) Why is it bad? I was using it in the terms of "gobblygook" and it told me it was a violition. My mom used to use the term when my sisters and i were talking baby talk or not really using words or things we were saying didnt match with the conversation. I swear i learn more bad words and offending terms here than i have anywhere else!

this is what i found on dictionary.com –noun Slang: Disparaging and Offensive. 1. a native of Southeast Asia or the South Pacific, esp. when a member of an enemy military force. 2. any dark-skinned foreigner, esp. one from the Middle East. 3. anyone who is offensive to others because of stupidity, coarseness, etc. i never knew about it till you said something lol.. funny how that works

It is a racial slur. Hubby says it refers to any oriental person. Urban dictionary says it refers to Korean, and later to Vietnamese, as Americans tend not to differentiate between Asian races, but lump them all together. Story has it that it comes from the Korean term Miguk, which means American, but Americans thought they were referring to themselves as Me 'go ok'. It is just the software picks out letter combinations that can be derogatory and flags them.

I think you were a part of my W*OP discussion, and now I get to help you with a different MyLot banned word! Isn't it funny? Anyway, when I saw the word, I knew from reading that it was a racial slur, but I couldn't figure out who it was against as a people. I used my Scour search engine, and found a good definition for it. (slang) a disparaging term for an Asian person (especially for North Vietnamese soldiers in the Vietnam War I still say MyLot needs better software that would be able to distinguish when these words are being used in a derogatory way, or are just parts of another word that has nothing to do with the bad use of it. Oh well, until then we will be educated on more bad words that we are not allowed to use lol!

I remember that discussion. Thank you for the definition. I agree they need better software to differentiate when someones using a word in a derogatory manner or just in an everyday type of usage.
