i believe in creation at genesis 1:26 says let us make man in god image according to his likiness and let them have subjection over the fish in the sea and every flying creatures in the heavens.(creation)-means that almighty god designed and brought into existence the universe, including other persons and all the basic kinds of life upon the earth.

scientist always trying to make thing to fit why this are that if you had went on and read verse 1:17thus god put them in the expanse of the heavens to shine upon the earth.verse 18 to dominate by day and by night and to make a division between the light and darkness then god seen it was good.the fact is god created all living things that include your dinosaurs and many other other creatures according to their own kind of living things.verse:1 21,24,25 adds that god created sea creatures, flying creatures and land animals, each according to it,s kind.there is no allowance here for one basic kind to evolve or change into another.(regarding man, genesis 1:26 says god said, let us make man in our image, according to our likeiness,"so he was to have godlike qualities, not traits that were simply a development of those of a beast.genesis 2:7 adds god proceeded to form the man (not out of some preexisting life form but (out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life."there is no hint of evolution here, but rather, description of a new creation.

I believe in a mixture of both, we know from science the evolutionary process of man and I also believe god created everything as well.

well I don't know what religion you belong too, but in the jewish or christian religion God never said we would live forever, in fact after noah's ark he sad he will shorten the life span of the human and he did. Before that time humans were six and 700 years old and still alive since them it has been changed.

As a Pantheist, my view of our existence is quite a bit different than most people's view. To me the Universe is God. All things that exist are part of the Universe including us. It is fact that matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed, one of the great laws of the Universe. Since we are matter and energy we have always been here and will always be here. I see evolution as a very natural change in form of matter and energy. The bible story of Genesis is a conglomeration of ancient stories trying to explain something that they couldn't understand. With virtually no understanding of the sciences these stories made sense to them. With current knowledge we know the Genesis story is one flaw after another from the very first words. I won't take the time to point out every single error but just a few examples: 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Even according to the bible this is wrong, the sun wasn't created until the 4th day. Scientifically speaking we know that there are stars, planetary bodies and even gas clouds in the Universe that are considerably older than the Earth, so the heavens and the Earth could not have been created at the same time. 1:16 - And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. The moon produces no light. 1:25 - 1:27 If all creatures including man were created at the same time on the 6th day what happened to the dinosaurs? 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. This statement makes God male and female. Yet God is always a he? I fail to see why a God would need a gender at all. 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. Why would an all powerful, omnipotent being need rest? Exhaustion is a human frailty and would make God significantly less than almighty. I could go on but I'll stop there. My concept of the Universe/God makes much more sense to me, we were not created by a separate entity with a name and human frailties and emotions. We are by nature part of the Universe.

and christians try to make things fit as well, I believe in both as I said before, but if you put up a discussion like this, you have to accept that fact that there will be people that will say scientist is the right way whether you like it or not.

iam for freedom of speech you can believe what you like --but the bible say:when the son of man (jesus christ) arrives in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sir down on his glorious throne.and all the nations will be gathered before him,and he will separate people one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.and these (who fail to recognize christ,s spiritual brothers as representatives of the king himself)will depart into everlasting cutting-off,but the rightous ones into everlasting life. matt.25:31,32,46

Excellent topic!!!!what i would like to tell anyone is never to neglect dislike or hate any thought or perspective....life is like a varied spectrum of colors and one needs to put different glasses on and off to see everything clearly...these glasses are perceptions and the colors are situations...when the situation demands you must believe in creation with all your heart and switch to evolution when the need arises Thanks once again for posting this excellent topic and i hope i was of some help... Happy myLotting to all of you...

I only believe what the Bible says. I only believe in creation as what the Bible says. No questions asked. I can't accept evolution because it totally contradicts what the Bible says about creation. Anything that contradicts the Bible will never earn my support and belief.

You are saying that all the hard won knowledge that we have gained over the last several thousand years should be discarded in favor of a myth whose origins are from the ancient Sumerians. Thanks but no thanks, I will take knowledge over superstition and myth any day. Life is too short to live it in a coma of religion induced ignorance.

I think Earth was created through evolution. It is the only thing that really makes since to me. It is more workable.
