How do you deal with procrastination? Do you accept it or do you try to break away from the habit? It's very hard to break away from the habit once you are used to doing things at the last minute, just as difficult as a drug addict trying to get off drugs. Whenever I'm not procrastinating or at school during the week, I'm sleeping the day away as I have very odd sleeping habits ever since last year and this year too starting college freshman year. I have my second midterms for math this week, and it is freaking me out.

You said it right, I know many people who just fail in their studies just because of this very bad habit

I always try to break away from procrastination. But I can only succeed for awhile. For me though, it's not always procrastination. Sometimes I just don't have time until the last minute. If I have a lot of things to do I'll do them in the order that they are due and this often results in doing a paper the night before. It was especially bad back when I was a full time student and also worked 60 hours a week. Now I don't have such a crazy schedule but it is still pretty bad.

I'm not a student anymore. I never did procrastinate when I was. I am good at getting things done promptly.

I don't like procrastination , I don't like the person who doing things have not plan and I also don't like put all of things to last minute. I quite agree with the person who first respond to this discussion , laziness and afraid of failure will make you have no choice but to do it until last minute ,this is force yourself to do things , but I believe people should be positive then you will be full of confidence to do good job . As a freshman in college ,I think you be positive than before , only in that way you will have more chances
