Did Revelations happen and took away all the pens?

So I woke up today and needed a pen right away to jot something down that I may forget later on. I have two pen "holder cups" or whatever you call them and the two pens that were in there would not work at all and the rest of them were highlighters. At work, whenever we fill out logs, there is always that 10-minute search for the only one pen that is missing. I remember buying boxes of pens for this reason alone. Where the heck did they all go?

It is the pen gremlins that get them. I recently bought a dozen of my favorite Zebra pens at Sam's Club and when I last took one out of the drawer there was only one left. However when I came to the computer desk this morning three were stacked neatly in front of my keyboard. I think the pen gremlins are related to whoever makes sure that when we need a phillips screwdriver, only flat ones are available or the reverse if we need a flat one. And someone in that family always makes sure that if you need a AA battery you will find a whole box of AAA's instead, but if you want AAA's there will be none. And here I thought only my home was visited by these gremlins!

Sock Cops..... Pen gremlins..... It's all starting to make sense now drannh. There is like a pseudo stationery/footwear underworld culture for sure. I just never opened my eyes wide enough to see it I think!

Yes, I think there is a special gremlin assigned to each separate kind of mischief.

These mischievous gremlins multiply, drannhh... I think if I recall it right, when they get wet or something. So of course, some of them would have found their way to our house. Do you think their family lines are responsible for a specific item?

I knew it just wasn't me. I think these pens have some kind of maneuvers... like they would roll into disappearing or jump from the desk you put them on and try to kill themselves. You still have to old crappy one, daceyp? Thanks for responding.

I don't want to imagine pens with arms and legs. Creepy! Such imagination might lead me to seeing pens with faces... just like talking trees.

Now i know where all those extra pens came from.. But i can't seem to figure out the confusions with all the different sets of keys and which one is for what and do i have all of them .There are 4 for the office, 2 for home 2 for my room, 2 for my cabinets..... and there is daily check to see if all of them are in place and for example this morning could not find one.

What? Some pens migrate over there to you, alokn? I guess not all of them are party animals. I used to lose my keys quite a lot before but now I've been pretty good at putting them in the same place so I don't have to waste five minutes looking for them when I'm all set to leave. Try having a container where you can put all of them, you think that would help? Thanks, alokn. And good luck with the keys.

Some things are never quite there when needed and pens and safety pins are two such things. I could never get either when needed. Now, how much i try to keep them handy i just can't them! I used to have great fascination for pens but guess what not anymore. At work when someone asks for my poem I have to give it and never to get it back. even the doctors are either lifters or they assume that they forget, whichever suits them right.

You must be tired, mimpi or you're very generous with your "poems" at work. Yes, I don't like these lifters that you call. Sometimes I cringe when I hear myself "bring the pen back" but it needs to be done. I have the same problem with hair bands or those elastic thingies... apparently, my brain is missing this morning too. I can't think of what thingies are called.

I am just bundle full of nerves these days, need to do more of panda spanking, if that helps. But I agree, hair bands, clips and this or that always kind of missing. What to say, that's but life!

Thank you Ms Saintly... do I get lemonade and cookies? Hahahaha! And yeah, if you think my avatar is red you should check out my profile page! Hehehe, yep, I figured those red pens were gonna have to earn their keep! I sent my son the hexagram and a sample of the red I wanted him to use, but I am afraid I will have to have him skinny up the lines a little bit, I just can't get the brick wall out of my mind when I look at it. It is so frustrating to me because I had an art program installed on my computer, but I never used it in two years so I finally uninstalled it, and just a few short weeks later discover that I need to use it!!!!!!!!!! That is why people like my mother and my brother never throw anything away!

Scoop Dogg, I assure you I am myself and NOT the swhomp thing. I have to laugh though, because when I first met him he was going back and forth all the time with urbandekay and I thought they were the same person pretending to be two just for the entertainment value. It's like a masquerade party around here!!

I did check out your profile page before I left myLot this morning. And yes, I like it! I like this red color. And no, you didn't tell me about the hexagram but I read it when you told James.

I have asked myself that question before. I know that I should have about 100 or so pens floating around, but I usually only know where two or three are and that's only because I keep one attached to my planner at all times and one in whatever purse I am currently using.

Ah, the purse pen. I try to have one in my purse at all times but they too disappear. Boyfriend would always tease me that I have such a huge purse that it confounds him why I can't find room for a pen in there. Thanks, wilsongoddard.

It seems that way sometimes, riyasam. When I get frustrated looking for a pen I think of other ways to get something written down.

There is a vortex SaintAnne and it occasionally merges with the same vortex that takes one of my socks from the pair every now and then! I think that somewhere in the world there is a Bermuda Triangle like place that is absolutely filled to bursting with pens and socks. Someone will one day stumble across this office supplies utopia and will find Amelia Earheart sitting there patiently and writing her initials in millions of single socks with no matching sock; and using all the different coloured pens to do it!

I think someone had better hurry up and find this place then SaintAnne. AE could have written God knows what in all this time with all those pens and for sure it is unbelievably interesting stuff too! Maybe it's time to bring back the odd socks fashion craze? I am certainly prepared for a comeback. (Assuming there was ever even a craze like this in the first place of course!)

I do that sometimes. Just as long as the socks are the same color. In high school, we use to "double-sock" with our uniforms... put another pair of white socks over the first pair. I don't even know why we did it.

Amelia Earheart, bless her soul. And I did laundry yesterday and I only got one pair of socks and then 5 of them are individual ones. I am not blaming it on this vortex you're mentioning as I may be the one at fault here, maybe the 5 others are still in my room hiding. Is it easy to write on a sock with a pen? I think AE would have written journals and journals in these socks with these pens.

I have the same problem here at my desk. They disappear except I know where they are going, they go the same place as my highlighters, socks, towels, my books, it is called the BLACK VORTEX OF MY CHILDRENS ROOMS! lol
