It was Mickey Mouse' 80th birthday yesterday!!

It was? Wow. It's been a good long run for Mickey Mouse then! Maybe those big white pants he's wearing are now extra padded to account for his age if you get my drift! If I was to have the chance to meet with him I would of course say Happy Birthday and then ask whether Minnie looks 80 also, or if she has had Walt Disney keep her young still with lot's of cartoon plastic surgery! Maybe they should start using Mickey Mouse now to promote Viagra?

I love mickey so much ever since i was a kid. and if there's one wish that i would say to him is that he will continue to make children happy.

Wow. He sure has been around for a very long time. I hope he continues to do well and stays around for many more years to come also.

I liked many things about Walt Disney, but the ducks and mice were not among them, and I may be in a very distinct minority here in the US in that I never once watched the Mickey Mouse show. One of my college buddies used to be a Mouseketeer on the TV show, however.

Wow, he looks great for being so old, lol. I was not a huge fan of Mickey while growing up, we didn't get the Disney channel. I think I was more into the muppets. I remember having a Kermit doll. My kids are growing up on Disney though, and my toddler's favorite Disney character is Mickey. There's a new show on now called Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and it's his favorite. We're hoping to see Disney On Ice in a couple months, and he'll adore seeing Mickey there. We also hope to get to Disney Land at some point before the kids are too old, but we want to wait until the baby is a little older, so probably in a couple more years.

Wow, for a 80-year old guy, he still looks good! I've enjoyed his cartoons since young; though I prefer his good friend Donald Duck. And now my 2-year old niece idolises him and Minnie; everything she has from dolls to clothes to shoes, must have the image or picture of Mickey or Minnie; not to mention the Dvds she collects of them.

even i wasnt knowing this and thanks for the information and you are right that it has been providing a smile on the childrens face from such long time and i remember when we were younger also we use to watch mickey mouse and it was really funny and interesting and the same is till now also and it is good the character exists such a longtime and impressing childrens. childrens are really big fans of mickey and it is nice that they are happy when they see him.
