Original DS vs. DS lite

Which do you prefer? There are pros and cons in each one.
DS
*Pros
-More durable, less fragile
-GBA cartridge does not stickout.
-Can take a fall and still work. (it fell down the stairs when I was playing with it at school xD)
*Cons
-Its big.
-limited number of colors
-not as much accessories as its lite counterpart.
DS Lite
*Pros
-Comes in a variety of styles and colors
-It's compact
-lots of accessories
-fits easily in your pocket without sticking out too much
*Cons
-Fragile
-More likely to malfunction or stop working after a fall down the stairs (lol)
-GBA cartridges stick out
I have the original DS, and I don't really need a DS lite since I hardly play anymore and when I do, I'm usually playing Pokemon Diamond. Since the day the hotspot nearby started not working though, I'm discouraged from playing since I prefer battling with people from over the net. . .and I can't anymore which stinks. :(

Hey,
In my opinion, I kinda like the fat Nintendo DS. The main reason is because the fat one has the GBA slot which doesn't stick out like the Nintendo DS lites does. My friends all have the Nintendo DS Lite and when I want to give them my Opera browser for them to use and try it out, the GBA cartridge that comes with it sticks out, I just laugh coz they can't quickly take it out of their Nintendo DS case and load up Opera. But other than that I don't really see a reason why to upgrade IF you have the old one, other than it is slightly lighter and smaller.

hi yamikiba,
im a nds lite user... i like it which its very lite.. ahihihi... more colors & not that heavy... its very handy for me to put it anywhere in my bag... & i have small pouch for protection...

Since I got a lite, I mainly only use my original DS for playing demos off the Wii's Nintendo Channel. The control pad is better on the original, but with all the different lighting settings on the lite, it's hard to go back. Plus, I've got a Game Boy Advance SP to play GBA games.
