Are you afraid of infections from the gym? What germs are lurking there?

I came across this interesting article about infections from gyms, (gymnasiums) and thought, that if you go to a gym, (school, for work out, whatever), it would be helpful for you to read. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/11/18/how-to-avoid-infections-at-the-gym.aspx I know of athlete's foot and staph infections, but there is more that I did not know. Well, food for thought. So WHERE are those germs lurking? LOL

When we go camping, and have to use the showers, I put a towel on the floor of the shower and wear flip flops. I actually bring disinfectant spray, with bleach, with me and spray it all down before I even get in. When I use public bathrooms, I also have disinfectant wipes that I use on the toilet, and either line it with toilet paper or a seat cover, before sitting (I am not a squatter, lol). Even when I did go to gyms, I never had problems, because I just assumed I had to be careful, as I learned from my mother.

Yuck! lol That is why i don't go to the gym... the thought of using the stuff in there is too disgusting. lol just think about how many people before you, sat on that bike and let their butt sweat sink into lol and its the same for anything in the gym... its just gross.. its too easy to get things these days. i'm not about to catch something from a gym lol i would love to use one so i can do so much other things and work on certain parts of my body better but i can't bring myself to use a gym..lol i don't have anyone to go with but even if i did... i'm not sure i would anymore.
