Life is a series of choices and not of chances. Indeed, God gave us the intellect to know what choices we have to make. It is just that not all have the wisdom to know which is right and which is wrong. So in a way, I would agree that life is what we make out of it. You become what you want to be if you work harder and give your best in your every endeavor. But of course God has also a say in every plan that we have. If God feels that what you are choosing will not be good for you, He would also do something to intercede. But whatever...it will always be for our own good.

i agree. life is what an individual make out of it. we may have a lot of choices to choose from with different variations. but it is really up to the certain individual to decide how and what to make his/her life succeed or fruitful.

Yes, sure. If we ask anyone who are very successful, they'll tend to agree. Luck is a factor, but I do believe we can choose how we want our lives to be, by taking the actions required to get there.

Life is full of challenge, i also want to manage my own life myself, and to acheive some greatness. I have to be ready to my future, and so i am getting high education in university, hoping that i can learn something that is acceptable to the society.

I would say that is definitely a big part... However, I can't say that's 100% true. Sometimes there are things that are just out of a person's control, and I don't know anyone who can't agree they've had at least one situation like that in their lives.

Very true for sure. Life is definately what you make of it. Most people tend to give up before they even get started. If you are wanting a better job, or a better home, etc. it is truly up to you. All you need to do is set your Goals of what you would like to achieve in life and work on meeting these as well. Even if it takes all of your life to get to where you want to be, you should never complain and just concentrate on the good and then go from there.

there is half and half to consider, a large part cannot be controlled in life, like getting sick and losing your income like what happened to me, but at the same time a large part you can control. Even getting an excellent education doesn't always mean you get the job of your dreams, there are many unemployed phd's out there.

i can say that we are the driver of our own life. it is like abus. you go places you meet people, there are bumpy and crazy roads to travel and there are safe and easy ones. but now that i am 35 years old already i think you have to be at the right place at the right time to achieve soemthing. you have to be lucky at the same time. in my own experience i can say that i am not that lucky when it comes to work. i only have a very supportive wife and thats the reasonwhy i am still going on. i am a musician and it is not easy to get a permanent member for most of them are airheads. but still i fight with life just like a good driver in a thunder storm.

yes life is what you make it if you don,t do anything with your life then what you whine up with is what you have seeked for your self throughout life.i know things happen but that part of life we have to deal with it and move on.

For the most part, life is what you make of it. I believe if you really try you can get through most any thing. However, some people have more set backs in life. Like if you're born in a third world country is it possible to escape it and become say a billionaire? Yes. How many people will actually do so? Some things like that I think are beyond normal reasoning.
