I'm totally at a loss right now. I have no idea what to do. I could really use a 2nd job, but the economy isn't that great and I am a single mother of 2 kids, so what am I supposed to do? I'm tired of not being about to make ends...

smartie0317 I'm sorry to hear you're in a bind. I have an idea. Maybe you can look into working at a summer camp. That way you'll have work and maybe your children can go for free or reduced price. Also, another idea is to become a lunch lady. Many moms around here do...

Teachers, if your high school had a 5% average reading comprehension, what would you do to try to bring up the average?

smartie0317 I would look into finding a tutor. Some students need more help and attention than others. Maybe this student needs some more one on one attention. With increasing class sizes, teachers can't always focus on just one student. If you look, there are places...

I was thinking about my grandmother today. She was a housewife and enjoyed cooking and crafts. Mostly a homebody. She also enjoyed gardening. One thing she liked to wear was a house dress. She has a lot of them in various colors...

smartie0317 Thanks for replying. Where I live, it seems people have facebook fever. Even old people I know are joining. Personally, I feel those type of sites are too invasive. Second, I'm only subbing. I'm still waiting for a full time job. I'd hate someone not to choose...

smartie0317 Thank you. That's great advice. Yeah, maybe myLot will get a new member. ;) It's amazing how many ways we can communicate with friends we aren't always able to see in person.

smartie0317 My boyfriend does more often. However, I don't feel like I'm giving up or he always wins. I'm the type of person who feel very strongly on a few issues. Other things I'm willing to compromise or don't care about. My boyfriend is more about details and honestly...

smartie0317 This year is my first year I've worked long enough/make enough to file taxes. There were many cheap online taxes. I just used my W-2 and an online service that the IRS recommend for my tax bracket. No, I don't think there should be such a class, because...
