Our group went to a remote area to make catchment basin for the tribe in the mountains. It rained hard but we have to go to the area, so what we did was to make plastic cellophanes for our protection from the rain. And it really served its purpose, it protected our things and our bodies from the hard rain.
Have you used this kind of rain coat?

Yes, its the first time that I used it and it felt good.
It was also hard to get through that falls, its part of our trek to pass through this falls, it did brought shivers to my spine but I ws able to pass through graciously.
Thank you for sharing and have a nice day!

Yes it did, it protected my clothes from the pouring rain. And I did enjoy the warmth of the blanket in the biting coldness.

I haven't done that sort of thing... since in the past... when we went to the mountains or remote areas... it would never rain... i guess i am always lucky that i was not put in that kind of situation... but i think i would have done the same thing if i am in such an area... and i do not have a raincoat or umbrella with me...

Hello Zelmarq. I have not ever used this kind of raincoat, but I have used plastic raincoat, which is very thin and for one-time use. Though thin, it does help prevent the rain from getting us wet. Take care, friend.

Well, a couple of times when I was working, a rain storm would occur when we were not prepared so we had to use plastic garbage bags to run across to another building.

I can't tell what that is. Is it a plastic tarp? I don't use raincoats or umbrellas, unless its a cold rain. But when I was a kid we use to use large garbage bags. You just rip holes for your head and arms.
