Is anyone else here as happy as I am that Keith Olbermann will be back tonight on Countdown? It's just not the same when he's not there; nobody else does the Worst Person in the World and that's my favorite segment. I know some people complain about that but I think it's funny. Some people need to lighten up! Annie

Yes, I'm happy. I tried to watch without him on and I couldn't do it. He's funny and the "replacements" really weren't. I was really depressed that him and Racheal were off last week together lol My computer was down and my shows were off

That's great! What kind did you get? I've been thinking of getting a laptop, if I ever get any money...lol! That's what we had intended to get for the grandkids last year but we ended up changing our minds and now they have a desktop computer that they all share. Well, actually the kids have it most of the time, my daughter and son-in-law don't get much of a chance on it...lol! Annie

I know I was lol By Friday night I told my husband that if we didn't buy me a new laptop that weekend everyone was not going to be happy. Best Buy had the one I wanted on sale but didn't have any he had looked earlier and so he called the stores in Michigan and drove up to Ann Arbor and got me one.

Yes, I saw that when it aired! It was hilarious! Especially the way Ben would shift positions to show how they change the camera angles during Keith's "Special Comments". I also like how SNL parodies Chris Matthews. Annie

I honestly do not know who that is Annie. Sorry about that. We just have basic, local programming. What channel is he on?

He's on MSNBC, which you wouldn't get without cable or satellite. I'd lose it without cable because we'd only have five channels. Annie

I am so glad he's back. Honestly, I'd rather watch reruns of it when he's not going to be on the show. The Worst Person in the World segment is my favorite, too.

Without cable, I don't have good TV reception so my "TV" is primarily YouTube clips. Which is where I first encountered Keith Olbermann ... my new favourite person to watch. I first saw him on a Letterman clip where he filled in for John McCain. Since then, I watch him on the MSN internet site. Although his presentation manner seems to be offensive to some, the way he makes his point on a wide variety of issues is very compelling. I especially liked his Prop 8 comments. If nothing else, he does get a person to thinking.

I've been a big fan since his first show on MSNBC, which didn't last very long at all. I think Countdown is a great mixture of serious news and humor. Sure, he's on the liberal side but he makes you think and if someone doesn't agree with his take on an issue they can always look up the other side. I like that he often talks about issues and news items I wouldn't have otherwise heard about and then I'll research further in them. I think some people will be surprised if they think he's going to give Obama a pass once he takes office. He already was critical of him regarding the wiretapping bill and I'm sure there will be others. Annie

I don't know if he is liberal or not. What I see is a supporter of common sense vs stupid sense. I think anyone who comes out with "stupidity" will be finding a spot on the Countdown show. As for Obama, there is no way he can do it "right" all the time. He has to juggle way to many serious and complex issues with a whole lot of complex and intense people combinations. It's a good think Obama seems to have a good sense of humour and can laugh well at himself.
