I read this somewhere online. If you want to induce labor you just drink castor oil. Wouldn't this have an effect on your baby? I would never risk it no matter how uncomfortable I may be.

hi there.
yes castor oil does bring on labor. 44 years ago i was p.g. with my third
child. and i took the castro oil i went in to early labor.and the baby wasn't
turned around to be borned yet. and one foot went down the canal. and the other one was crossed.they had to push him back and do a c-secition on me. he's little foot gave him trouble all his child hood. even when he went in the army they had to put him in a cast.don't ever do that let it come natrail.
god gives all us our own time.to develop the best as we can. (don't rush him)
he's still in charge.firemountain

It's a myth. It's nasty tasting and yes, one doesn't know what it could do to the baby. I would have never given that stuff a try. Whoever is eager to get things over with should remember that if the baby isn't ready, it's not ready. Unless there is a medical necessity, one shouldn't try and rush things along.
