How many times do you check your email per day?

Are you the type that keeps peeking into the inbox to see how many emails have arrived? Or do you check your email just once a day and then forget about it? Or do you check three or four times per day?
I have a work address, a gmail address where I receive all my Mylot notifications and discussions, and an address for friends. I check the address for friends around once a day or, if the Internet connection is that bad, around twice or thrice a week. I check my gmail address twice or thrice a day. It is lovely to read the comments for my responses. :) And of course, I check my work address around twice a day.
So, what about you?

It depends on which email address I am checking. With my main ISP I peek on it a couple of times a day. with my gmail account I check it maybe once or twice a day. With my hotmail address I check it maybe once or twice a week. And with my yahoo account I check it throughout the day, as this is where I get my mylot notifications sent to. If I wasn't able to check it often all my mail would surely build up, which would make it hard to keep up with any discussions I get in my inbox.

I have reserved my gmail for Mylot notifications, and the inbox is always full of notifications. LOL!

I have two emails, one for personal and another from work. But I seldom use the one from work, I think only my boss emails me there. I use my yahoo account most of the time. Whenever I get to work, I open my email as well as my messenger and it stay open the whole day. When I am not too busy I get to check my mail more often in a day, around 5-8 times, I browse thru the emails that are not so urgent. If I am busy, it still stays open but I barely look at it. I only look at it when I get a notification about an important email.

hahahah this is great!!! i check my email several times a day. I have two regular emails that for friends and for mylot notifications. I keep on switching every now and then between the two email addresses. It if fun though. So, everyday I check my mail several times.

I'm checking my e-mail quite frequently these days- waiting to hear from professional and graduate schools. I've noticed I'm even having to discipline myself and not let e-mail take over my life. I spend enough time in front of the computer with school work and freelancing. Too much of any one activity is never good!

Hey positivemind~I can't wait to check my emails! I check them
any chance that I get that a have some free time. I check it
first thing in the morning to see what kind of response that
i have gotten from the night before. Then I will wait until
later in the day when I get home or finish my chores to check
again and see what emails I have to start responding to my
friends discussions. That is usually when I will be on for
the evening until I am ready to go to bed which can be hours
from then!

I'm a loser. I check my mail 4 to 5 times a day. The thing is I work from home, and my work is on the computer. So in down time I'll pull up my mail and check it. I actually do get a lot of mail, so it keeps the volume down checking it more often then trying to sit down once a day and sort through 20 messages. My mom only checks her mail like once every 3 days. That would drive me so crazy!!

I try to check my email daily I may come back later in the day to check for more... Sometimes I get overloaded with emails if I don't check as often, so I try to keep on top of things by checking daily...

I have a lot of email accounts and I need to check some of them constantly... I usually check my mails whenever i have time. That's why i love gmail than yahoo mail because you can use microsoft outlook via pop3... with yahoo mail you need to pay for that kind of service (it used to be free)...

I have several email addresses and I am on the internet most of the day. I usually try to check it twice a day, early in the day say morning or early after lunch, then later say after supper or in the evening. If I check it more often it becomes compulsive and I do not want that. If I find myself checking it more often I stop and do something because it is entirely not necessary I have found.

I usually check my email three times a day. First time when I arrive the university I work in. Second time when I arrive home from work. And third time before I go to bed. The reason for that is I´m writing my doctoral thesis and my tutor is always asking me to do several tasks.

Hello, i check my my mail four or five times per day, i got hotmail yahoo and the email for my provider, but i really like it and use it so much the hotmail, because all my friends just have hotmail :( , well hope you have a nice day and hope you will have a very good week ;) see you soon and bye bye :D

yes, i'm one of those that use to check the e-mail every day many times, because i i find many trash i i like to keep it clean if any thing i'm not interested to.

I am on the internet at least 12 hours a day, and when I am online, my main email account is usually logged on, so reading my emails is a breeze. I just leave one tab in my Firefox open all day and toggle to it to see if new emails have come in which require my attention. So you can say I check my emails many times a day whole day long. That means I can also respond to emails from my friends in double quick time also.

i always keep my mailbox logged in as i would know the mails i have recieved and i can reply to those when i have time. as i do mylotting and i would get the responses and i get the email alerts from mylot and i always keep my mailbox open so that i can even reply to the responses i got and know more about it.
just opening the mail box again and again i would not feel comfortable and henc i would keep it open for most of the time.

I normally check my email once a day. Unless I am waiting for something important. Then I might check it a couple of times. Of course somedays I am too busy or I am not at home. On those days I do not check it at all. Have a great day!

I try to check my email at least 3 times a day so I won't have so many the next day. I went a week not checking my email and when I finally did I had over 200 emails and it is so tiring going through all of them.
