I hear a lot of people bashing George Bush. He gets a lot of bashing about the economy and the war. But isn't true that there has not been a domestic terrorist attack since 9-11. Should he not get a little credit for our nation being safe. If we would have had a weaker president during the past seven years mighten the terrorist have been emboldened to attack us. I am not saying for sure that Bush is the reason that we have not been attacked, but he may have had something to do with it.

One possible explanation would be that many believe he and our government were using these attacks to manipulate the public...and since he got to do his war in/on Iraq, there was no reason to stage another attack. Seriously, lots of people believe this, and lot of movies have been made about it too. If you are really interested in finding answers, check-out the Zeitgeist movies at www.zeitgeistmovie.com It will give you an insight into what a lot of Americans believe, or at least suspect. Happy Thanksgiving and... Happy MyLotting!

Thank you for the response. Personaly I find the conspiacy theory hard to swallow. The main stream left has it in for Bush and would love to dis-credit him. As was evidinced in the presidential campaign, they are heavily slanted towards the left and are not ashamed of it. There is your conspiracy, the left wing elite pushing their politics on mainstream America.

I don't know that Bush is the reason that there haven't been any attacks in the US since 9/11. Why should al-qaeda come up with some big plan to kill Americans in the US when we're sending American targets into the middle east? Right now it's much easier for them to just go to Iraq or Afghanistan in their attempts to kill Americans.

I hate people blaming Bush for everything. I think the left leaning press has done a good job of villianizing him. Had Bush not reacted, America would have had more domestic terrorist attacks. After all, he said he was against terrorism and had he been a weaker president, that would have goaded the terrorists to increase their attack. But they did not. Bush was not the reason for the attack. The reason was the terrorists do not like the freedom people have in the West and they want the people of Americans and the free world to live in the fear and oppression that their countrymen live , in other words, they are envious, plus they want everyone on Earth to be Muslim. I saw one time or read that Clinton could have prevented it by getting Al Quaida when they knew where he was, but he did not.

I have never seen such villianization of an American president as was done to Bush and I lived through the Nixon area and I saw that movie. I think America is glving to remember that things were good during the Bush era and will wish they had not complained so much.

I must say I agree with you. The liberal, mainstream media has poisoned the minds of the American people.

True, there hasn't been an attack since 9-11 but Bush was President on 9-11 and there had never been an attack of that magnitude before 9-11. I really don't think he did anything that may have prevented another attack that anyone else wouldn't have done and I think some of what he has done shouldn't have been done. Also, it very well may have been prevented to begin with had he paid attention to the memo warning of an attack planned within the U.S. Annie

indian they need a government that punishes the terrorists very brutally. only man who could do it is Narendra Modi, chief minister of Gujarat. you cant stop a terrorist from attacking. this particular attack has been done with those in power. the congress party which is the senior partner in the UPA alliance has always been soft on islamic terror. only last week the Home Minister said they dont bring any law specifically to tackle terrorism, like POTA enacted by the NDA alliance. yes, its true that after 9/11 there has not been any attempt on US soil. india can learn from that experience and implement some of those hard measures against the terrorists.

Narendra Modi is a criminal active-in-politics! He shouldn't be in a chair that is steadily rocking ... For, the attack on Muslims was done on the orders of none other than he ... He should be tried not in India's courts but in the International Court of Justice, in the Hague, Netherlands, where a case against him is still hanging in the air. He did not fight terrorism or the terrorists but brought terrorism to Gujrat and India. *By the way, the current terrorist-attack in South Bombay is all the handiwork of all the Indian-politicians put together; with each one trying to outdo the other ... Listen, friend, Indians of all species should awake now and drown this body-of-terrorism forever ... The ordinary citizens lives are in danger; they should awake now and become aware of the threat facing them.

I believe that President Bush is a hero who has acually stood against the whole world to keep the USA safe. The many attacks that have been quietly prevented because of national security measures instituted after 9-11 would astound people if they knew the truth. Such plotted terroristic incidents have been quietly prevented to prevent panic among the American people, but President Bush should get the credit for America's safety in these times of terrorist threats. I hope people will realize this and give him the credit he deserves.

Yes. Hopefully obama will do the activities against terrorism. His speech and ideas are showing this. He already started to do the activities against terrorism. His concentration will also be stabilizing the economy.
