Do you really read them? Or do you just scan them? Or bypass them all together?

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. But I usually don't I usually just scan them fast, read a few words and sentences enough that I can understand. The most important thing to do is to answer the question the discussion starter have. That's usually found at the bottom most part of the starter's post. So I often skip to that part and give my answer. hehe

I read them, but i read the response first. But i tried my by to response though the topic is not that important, still i have to post. I usually response to discussion that have no responses.

It depends on the content of the discussion and the responses. If the subject is of interest and the thread carrying on is interesting and even humorous, then i would read through it entirely.

I truly do read them if it interests me. If I notice a conversation beginning to turn bland I will skim the rest of it. I never bypass them altogether because I think there usually is some high quality information within some of the most in depth conversations.
