Do You Bring Your Camera with You All the Time?

I am curious. Now that the cameras are so small, I wonder who actually have a camera in their bags all the time in case there is some “snapshot” to catch? I don’t bring my camera with me all the time since it’s not that small. But sometimes I do regret not bringing it with me when I come by those beautiful scenery.

The most convenient camera today is on your mobile phone. If you carry a phone you carry a camera. What is more, it is a video camera as well and can take short clips of movies including sound. Brilliant. For some time, my son's mob had a more megapixels camera facility than my dedicated digital camera!! Technology moves on so fast now.

Most of the time I do carry a camera, not just for the scenery, but also in case of catching a crime happening. It is like insurance, if I have the camera ready maybe they will go somewhere else to do bad stuff.

Hello wondericequeen, I don't bring along my camera unless I really need to take photo. I leave the camera at home. It is not that small though and definitely it will take some spaces in my handbag. I can't take out anymore stuff in the bag so I better leave it at home...

Nikon D40X - Camera
I have a digital point and shoot camera which literally fits on my dress shirt pocket. However, I do not bring it every time. I just carry it when there is an event or if my family goes out during weekend

Like so many people, I have a good mobile phone camera (Zoom, 5MP sensor, image stabilization, German lens) but I'm fussy about my photos, so it is never more than a backup. I NEARLY always have a real camera with me even if I have to put up with a bit of bulk. I often pays off.

Yes, I take my camera with me most every time I venture out. The very few times that I have not brought it with me, I always wished I had. I have several cameras but I usually take my small digital Canon. Point and shoot. Light weight and easy to carry. I love it. I am not sure how I ever managed with out it. Often I forget about the camera I have on my mobile phone. I find it is rather expensive to upload them to my cell phone account though in order to save them to my computer for further use. It is a handy gadget to have for those times when I have not brought my camera with me. So as long as I remember it is there and has the option. I too love the beautiful scenery but also one never knows when a camera may become needed in a situation such as a car accident or such. My camera also takes video and have proved to be helpful in the past.

Hi wondericequeen, I love camera since young for I like to keep photos of things that are unique and impressing. Nowadays the digital camera is extremely handy and convenient if compare to those which I use during those earlier days. It saves money as well for we don’t have to waste money anymore to get the photos by paying to the photo studio for the processing. What’s more we have to pay for the spoiled pieces of photo very often. I always bring along with me the Olympic digital camera whenever I go out. It’s light and easy to operate as well, so it’s not a burden to carry along with me all the time. I had come across an impressing and touching scene once, while taking food in a restaurant but it’s rather disappointing and depressing that I had left the camera at home. Anyway I regret for this as I know I could keep the memorable scene in my heart fore ever only but couldn’t share it with my loved ones with what I had actually seen. Since then I will never leave my camera alone at home. posting and have a great day.

No, I'm sorry to say that I don't. Although my camera is small enough to fit inside of my purse, I just don't take it with me every time I go somewhere. I usually plan it out when I take it with me, otherwise I just leave it at home. What's really bad was I planned to bring it with me when I saw my mom on Thanksgiving, but I had forgotten to bring it. I didn't worry much about it seeing as my mom usually brings hers along. However, she had forgotten hers too! So we weren't able to get any pictures taken that day.

It depends on. In usual I don't bring my camera because it is a big size one. In my weekends and holidays, I often bring my camera as I need to take photos for my family. I especially like taking photos for my son and recording every step of his growth. Besides, I am interested in photography. I like take some nice photos when I am outside. I love China

I do the same thing as you! I often see something I'd like to photograph, yet I never think to carry my camera in my purse. That is so annoying! There's so many things related to nature to take pictures of where I live. I think I could get some really nice snapshots should I ever remember to take my camera with me.

Yes I carry at least one camera with me. I do not get out much so when I go out and I see something I want to take a photo of I need to take that advantage. And spare batteries. I always like to have a fully charged set of batteries because they seem to run out of juice unexpectedly and a couple of times I would have missed some shots without the spare batteries.

Hi wondericequeen.. Not so much, though these past few days I bring it along with me since its wintertime and I would like to capture some beautiful sceneries as much as I can. Though I dont bring much my digital camera, whenever I have some moments or sceneries that I would like to capture I use the camera on my mobile phone.

I try to bring my camera with me a lot more these days. The photographs can be very useful now for websites and things. I also hate to miss catching something exciting as I always used to say "I wish I had a camera" I try to leave my camera in the car and last week I was driving home and the sun was going down and I got my daughter to snap a picture of it, as it was just beautiful. My camera is very small and fits into my handbag which is useful. I have snapped a lot of great scenery photographs lately from carrying my camera with me.

I just recently got a digital camera and it's been in my bag ever since. I'm actually more of a food "photo-taker" than anything else, though. So, even if it's just fast-food wrapped in foil or gourmet on fancy plates, I like to take a picture of it. Unfortunately, I haven't taken any new photos with my camera. It's just that it doesn't come with a USB cable and I don't have a memory card reader yet... I should've considered the fact that my PC doesn't have those card slots like newer models do. Oh, well. :D That sort of misses the point of having a digital camera, doesn't it? You know, being able to upload, see and share pictures as soon as you take them. But still, I keep it my camera in my bag. You'll just never know when you'll need one. :D

I simply use my cam phone these days. I'm using a Sony Ericsson K800i so its good enough for spur of the moment shots. For special moments though, I use my digital cam.

hahahaaha. I used to ALWAYS have my camera with me. Like ALWAAAYS! And I had a bajillion albums on facebook for all the photos I took at every event. Even when I went to a friends house for a random visit I would take it with me. Everyone used to complain about it and tell me how I was obsessed with taking pictures and having my picture taken. After a while, I got over my picture taking frenzy and only take my camera to important or fancy events. And nowwww, all my friends are like "Why didnt you bring your camera?" or "You shouldve brought your camera, this would be a perfect kodak moment!!" Anywas, I know someone who takes her camera EVERYWHERE!! She even takes like 5000 pictures of her with her roommates in their dorm room and puts them up online...gaah its so annoying! Take as many pictures as you want, but dont let it get annoying to other ppl around you, because the whole point of taking pictures is to make memories, and if you take it everywhere, then it would be useless!! ;)
