Do you find yourself singing songs from children's shows?

I'm obsessed with the shapes' song from Mister Maker (a show on the BBC's CBeebies channel). This is mainly due to the rectangle and his amazing deep voice! See what you think... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=X6M0dnTnw7I I find myself singing this song at all times of the day, and I love doing all the voices, lol! Another song that is often stuck in my head (plaguing me!) is the theme from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It's currently my daughter's favourite programme and she watches it every morning. Sometimes it's still playing in my head when I'm trying to get to sleep at night. Which children's television songs do you like? And are there any that you just can't stop singing, even though you hate them?!

Oh I can relate to this big time liquorice! lol. I used to spend my days with the songs of "The Wiggles" and "Hi-5" constantly reverberating through my head and no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't shake it. Both of these examples are children's bands that are extremely popular in my country. You haven't lived really until you have the words "Toot, Toot, Chugga, Chugga Big Red Car" as common to you as breathing!

I love Hi-5, and the Wiggles are quite cool as well! I think I actually like them better than my daughter does, although she watches them sometimes. And I have also been known to spend days singing songs from these shows. I can appreciate what you say about the big red car song. I love the energy of those guys! Thanks for replying.

I don't know the underdog song. But one of the songs from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse goes "hot dog hot dog hot diggety dog..." Is that the same one? Maybe not, but it's also very catchy. *hums to herself..*

Thanks, now I have the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song in my head :) I know what you mean though. Since we always have some kind of kid's show on the television I almost always have a song stuck in my head. It can be very annoying though when you're trying to sleep and one of those songs sneaks in your head.

Ops, sorry!! That sounds like our house too. Yes, it's bad when it's stuck in your head when you're trying to sleep. And the other day when I was out running, the Micky Mouse song was playing over and over in time with my steps.

I find myself whistling and humming the theme song from Disney channel's "wizards of waverly place"..........."Everything is not what it seems......." This is one of my daughter's favorite shows. It actually drives me nuts when I'm humming it!

I don't know the music to that one, and my daughter's not into it yet. Yes, it is so annoying that you can't stop singing these things however much you want to stop, and you start to annoy yourself! Thanks for your answer.

Yes, you've made a very good point there. People with kids are more likely to watch kids shows and so get the tunes in their heads! Although I had been known to watch some of the kids channels even before I had my daughter...

I don't have kids yet, but I used to work at a day care. I would go home nightly singing songs from the shows we would watch and I would get the most odd looks from my parents and friends! I also get commercial theme songs stuck in my head... my most current hated commercial because it always gets stuck is the new Crayola commerical with the color thing for toddlers... "color, color, color, let create... ZIG ZAGS!!" UGH! I can't ever get that out of my head and sometimes I go to bed singing it and cannot get to sleep because it keeps repeating in my head! I'm sure it will only get worse when I have kids and they get old enough to watch the shows LOL

My daughter's too young for Hannah Montana at the moment. I'm not sure what the songs are like in that show, but I know that so many kids are into the programme and Miley Cyrus is such a big star, so I would guess that she must sing some very catchy and popular songs. Thanks for your reply.

Yea there are some that get stuck in my head . Dora the Explorer is one and this old show, I don't know if anyone remembers it, its called Out of the Box. I love the theme song for that show!! I babysit my cousins sometimes so I have to watch alot of their cartoons, its not so bad though, some of them can be kind of nice

Oh yes, Dora is another one that I'm sometimes singing all day, that's quite addictive! What's Out of the Box? I remember a programme here that was on a long time ago about an alien who lived in a box and he used to say "ticky ticky tox, out of the box". Or something like that! I don't suppose that's the one that you're talking about, it was quite strange - although it might be! It's nice that you babysit your cousins. I would have liked to babysit when I was younger, but I didn't know any babies! Yes, some of the cartoons can be good. Thanks for your answer sunshine.

Ah, I don't know that one, but the song sounds catchy. The one I was thinking about was maybe a BBC educational programme, a bit obscure, so maybe unlikely that most people would've heard of it! Sounds cool having a playhouse made of boxes. Thanks for sharing the song

oh out of the box was this disney show. this group of kids would hang out with these two adults..they're babysitters i guess and their playhouse was kinda made out of boxes..lol. "so long farewell to you my friends, goodbye for now until we meet again.." that was part of the song that they sang when the show was ending
