My grandson just got a gaming computer. He and a friend built it yesterday and today. He has a wireless put into into his computer some how. We don't have one of those external boxes. I feel like it slows down my internet. I have DSL for the internet and now every time the phone rings it kicks us off. For a while every time we would get a phone call the phone would buzz so you could hardly hear the other party got that fixed now this problem. That is really aggravating when your up loading a discussion. Any one else have such a problem?

It's always something with these electronics isn't it. My printer is very touchy about how the paper is put in the feed.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having this kind of problem. I have lovely dialup and that is problem enough.

It's probably the extra gaming computer that is the problem. When my grandson isn't playing There doesn't seem to be one.

Your grandson's computer system could very well be slowing down your internet depending on how much of the bandwidth his computer is using while playing those games. Do all of your phones have filters on the wall jacks in your house? An unfiltered phone can disrupt your service when the phone rings.

No the phones don't have filters. I didn't know that you could put filters on them. He just got it set up this afternoon. Thanks for the tip about phone filters. I'll have to look into them.

make a router box if you want share the internet, you can organise bandwith and give some firewall to secure your network

I'll have to ask his friend if he knows how to do that. We usually aren't one the computer at the same time. He usually plays his xbox.
