MTV videos on the web!

November 29, 2008 I won’t give the link (and if you’re not sure what to type in it ends with .com) but MTV has their videos on the web now. I’ve watched a bunch of great videos from my generation of music. My kids were treated to my best heavy metal screams and my air guitar solos. I grew up on Van Halen and Motley Crue to name of few. What is your generation of music?

Mine was the 80's, but I wasn't really into the heavy metal like you. I liked stuff like ....Bryan Adams, Huey Lewis, Journey, Def Leppard, to name a few. My boys are 15 and 21 and they like Def Leppard and Journey. My 15 year old just bought a Def Leppard t-shirt on Ebay from a concert from 97. He was only 4 years old when that shirt was new. haha.

Mom, glad to see you're still posting. The sad thing is, I remember what I was doing in 1997.

Well I was born in the late 80's so my music is basically all the old pop like Backstreet Boys and N'Sync, Britney and Christina. But now I'm really into anything basically. I really like hip hop, rock and pop. I love listening to old songs that were made before I was even conceived. I am really into Depeche Mode right now, and AC/DC. Those are like two of the old bands that I am really going crazy over. Especially AC/DC which makes me wish that I was born earlier. Right now I'm actually listening to a song on youtube which is another good site that has a lot of videos. I'm listening to Decode by Paramore which is a pretty sick song.

Probably the same as yours. Motley Crue and Van Halen were pretty hot when I was a teen ager as well. I also really liked Journey, and AC/DC. But I was also really in to the Pop music of that time. Madonna, Cindy Lauper, and even Michael Jackson. I loved to dance back then. Still do, but I don't often get the chance anymore.

I loved the Beatles, because my parents loved them and had the music playing all the time. They also liked Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, and lots of soundtracks from musicals. When I was in my late teens I was an Elton John fan - still love his older stuff - and later enjoyed Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, etc. I have a very diverse range of things on my iPod!

I was in the 80s when they first have MTv and I liked some of their music. So I will be looking for it. I am an Eagle fan. Not much into heavy metal, but I do like Stairway to Heaven, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, the Eurythmics, and some others, but if I find the site, I will see if I remember any.

This is awesome! I checked it out and it's so cool to pull up those old videos. I started watching MTV right when it first came on the air (I think it was 1981?). My best friend's dad had cable and we'd go over every day after school and watch. Back then they had like 3 videos.

I grew up at that time but I was not allowed to listen to them. We had to listen to country music. I may be a little older than you and we did have the beetles Abby road album and the bread album but that was the worst of the rock and role records I listed to.

That's cool.. most of the time, i will be watching all those MVs from youtube, and i think it's one of the best channel too.. hehe ^_^ I'm not into hard rock, metal as well as hip hop.. Rather, my genre of music comes from soul or R&B, and love ballets.. lol =D I prefer those sad love songs, but i just dunno why i dun like the rest.. hehe

I checked it out a while back. There were some good 80's videos on there. I was born in 1982, so I got a little taste of the 80's
