Chicken hearts? I have, though it was just an order mixup at the meat market, and my mom didn't know till we got home. I think she meant to order liver, but I told her I wanted to try it, so she just cooked some chicken sotanghon soup (a Filipino dish) with the hearts instead of the liver. It was a bit chewy, but I found that it is better tasting than liver . I have bragged to some of my friends that I've eaten a heart before. . .lmao, just to see their reactions. :) How about you?

Yes, I have tried chicken heart too. They usually sell that in the barbecue stand in the Philippines. It goes with the liver. It's rather small and chewy and the chicken liver is soft unlike the pig's . ;-)

I have never tried chicken hearts. The whole idea of eating a chickens heart is just disgusting to me. My grandma loved chicken hearts though. She just couldn't ever get me to try them.

Ah I see. Well the thought of eating anything Mexican style disgusts me too but that disgust comes from the fact I can't stand the smell of Mexican food. Though I would be lying if I said no animal's insides made me sick to my stomach. . .I can eat a heart but never another creature's intestines. But who knows if I could ever get over the smell or thought, I might have another new dish to explore. Getting over a smell you've hated for years is a lot harder to convince yourself that you're eating another creature's stomach though.
