Well, there are always the discussions about what you got for Christmas. Then New Years plans, and then there is Valentines Day and Easter. There is always a different Holiday around the corner that people like to talk about.

hi anne18! maybe that is just what will happen in the next few weeks but i am pretty sure that after the new year celebration mylot will flood discussions again about resolutions, change and goals for the new year...everybody is excited to start a new leap in life so what better time to start but first day of 2009 and i am pretty sure there will be lots of topics to start and discuss here after that because mylot is very broad and wide in coverage and people here have so many interests that they like to share..so i am hoping that this will not be a ghost town.

Anne18, the upcoming seasons; Xmas/New years are so hectic...it's a whirlwind for me!From Dec. 22 to New Years, I have three birthdays, My brothers, Dec. 23, My God-daughters Dec. 26 and MY SON's Dec. 29, so by the time New Years eve, arrives I am all out of gas....and "thank goodness" everyone else goes out to celebrate, so I have a nice quiet evening, in front of the fire, reminiscing! Because their birthdays tend to get lost in the festive season...I make an extra effort to make a big deal of them, just so they don't seem forgotten! Cheers!

Hmmm...I don't know...We really do not do anything for New Year's. Here we have so many drunk drivers that I just don't want to be in that sort of mess.. I'll be glad to see 2009 come in and be one step closer to a new president lol

after new year probably valentine or back to other topics like friends, life, bills, animal abuse, crisis or bailout there is always something to talk about although sometimes I find it boring on mylot because I can't come up with a topic and no interesting topic to reply to but after a week or a month break I usually find it interesting again

Oh never are woman without something to talk about. Somebodys husband, wife, partener will be in the dog house, or the kids will be on a poopy list, so someone got engaged, something went right/wrong at work, someone made a purchase they want to talk about, the grandchildren are growing and they did ???, someone will need advice on a recipe, car trouble or maybe computer issues. OK OK already I'll quit, but honey there's always something going on in myLot Land!!! Take Care.

I have complete faith that the mylot community will make a New Year's resolution to post colorful, thoughtful, provocative, thought-provoking discussions in the coming year. There are some great minds in here and I'm sure there will be a variety of both new and old topics which will need to be addressed after the the New Year. Happy Holidays!

There are so many subjects that we could discuss Anne. Apart from religion and elections, there are few very heavyweight discussions and that is for a reason perhaps. This is a place of escape for many of us and not too many of us want to discuss things like "How does Hegel influence phenomenology and existentialism?" !! So it's "Plum pudding or Yule Log?" Will that chap in the Bill who is now in Eastenders migrate to Corrie before Easter? Oh and thinking of Easter.............

I think that people will slowly come back on and then there will be discussions of what they got and how they used it. After that, I'm not sure what we'll talk about... So many discussion topics, and yet christmas christmas christmas. Not that it's a bad thing, on the contrary.

Hey anne! Don't worry! I'm quite sure we won't run out of things to talk about! There's always the weather and stuff like that you know!lol We still have a ways to go till Christmas and New Years! We are just rushing our lives away! There will always be something to find that we can talk about. I'm sure we will come up with some topics even if they are just silly little things! So let's just continue on Christmas for now and then New Years for awhile longer! After all it is only December 1st! We still have 24 more days till Christmas and I just realized that I had better start thinking about doing my Christmas shopping soon! I always wait until the last minute and I swore that I wouldn't do that this time. And my boyfriend is going to be off from Decemver 11th until January 5th and he's the only person I have to shop for! And he hates to go shopping with me anyway!

At least, we have some good topics. I am a little worried in the near future, all we talk about is big3 or citibank. That is not a good sign.

I think it is true that the holiday season has a big impact and influence on the discussions here and what we all are doing and what we did. The holidays will be over before we know it and things will slowly get back to normal. This site will probably slow down a little just like everything else after the holidays are over but then the members will come up with some more new and exciting things to talk about. This site has remained alive for quite some time and I think more people will be signing on because it really is a great place to make friends and have great conversations.
