How many of you used to wash your own clothes?I mean not in a washing machine, with your own hands! How many of you had thoughts that how nice if you had a girlfriend to help u out or have enough money to buy a washing machine, while washing cloths. But,still u complete with a satised feeling and it stays when u wear a clean, warm ironed cloth.

Well, I am a wife and mother of four children so I am the one who washes clothes in this house. I have a washing machine and dryer but I do do laundry every single day. When I was a girl we did not have a washing machine so my mother and I would wash our own clothes by hand with a washboard and a little detergent. Then we would rinse them out and then hang them outside on the clothes lines. The worse part was when the birds would aim for our clothing and then we would have to re-wash those items. (And for some reason our clothes line was right underneath a huge tree!). Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

Our washing machine broke down 3 years ago and we haven't bought a new one since we don't have place to put it. And someone told me that it's not good for an appliance to be directly expose to sunlight so we opted not to buy. but my roommates and i hired someone to clean wash our clothes once a week. unlike them, i only let our wash lady to wash my clothes, NEVER my under clothes. coz i think it's to private for someone to wash it for me. so, i hand wash my under clothes.

I have a washing machine at home but still I wash my clothes with hand as washing machine leaves dirt at places like corners of stiff collars and other places, besides it consumes lots and lots of electricity. So washing clothes and ironing them myself gives me more satisfaction.

I have never washed my own clothes with my own hands. But then again, I'm still 17 so my mom still does most of the laundry! And we've always had a washing machine at home, so I guess it's not really necessary to wash them with your hands. :)

You know, excessive heat from the dryer causes alot of damage to all type of clothes. If you take enough time and care to hand wash your clothes its going to last for a long.It takes time, but will save you money in the long run.

yes i have washed clothes by hand many a times and sometimes a little too many times in one day that by body used to start hurting...actually i used to wear clothes and not wash them the very next day but keep them piling up and then ultimately i wouldnt have anything to wear and thats when it used to be a painful routine to wash all of them all at once.... but it is definately easier washing clothes in the washing machine.... its a boon !!

I am not used to wash my clothes, but since I am now living solo, I have no choice than to wash it. I used to go to laundry shops, but am not satisfied with their services. If I had no time to wash it, I will call laundry home services so that I could monitor the result and how they wash my clothes.

oh, i do hate washing clothes by hands.. its really tiresome, even with the washing machine that we have in the philippines. The common washing machines we have in my home country is not the same as the washing machines here in europe where the only thing that they need to do, is to put the clothes and soap, wait until it finishes, and then hang it up. Ours is, you will be the one to rinse it for how many times until its not "soapy" anymore, then lastly, hang it up. Most of the time after washing, im so messed up because im wet all over. So, im really glad to be in a country where I dont have to give much effort with washing my clothes.

I do not like to wash by hand cause the water is so cold in winter.I only wash my underware by hands. Now I also neet to wash my daughter's clothes by hands. No matter wash by hands or machine are both ok since I only care whether clothes are clean. My husband does not wash clothes himself, just liking you want me to help him out. But the machine helps me out, haha

washing by hands or by machine u know use only hot water.otherwise the full dirt wont go away, and the last water you rinse the clothes should be cold water.

Well here in America i do laundry myself but i use washing machine of course coz i don't want to ruin my hands. lol. I do my laundry every monday while my husband is working. Have a good day to you.

While i was a student, i used to wash my clothes. Because the school is a boarding school, i could go home once a time, so i must wash my clothes myself. In those days, almost my classmate were washing the clothes themself. Now i am working, the work is so busy, and i didn't have much time to wash my clothes, so i bought a washing machine to help me... sometimes my girlfriend will help me wash it. How nice my girl :)

Hello, dinkan53. I do not wash my own clothes. Lucky, am not I? I have never done it before, and I don't know how to do it very well. I assume I would make a lot of mistakes if I tried to wash clothes here at home. What if your girlfriend puts you to wash yours and hers clothes? Then you'd be in a pretty bad situation, wouldn't you? You should not forget that some women won't want to stay at home washing clothes or cooking dinner. Though it would be nice to find a woman that does, hehehe. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

I hand-wash my clothes every week on Sundays. I used to do this every three days because I had lots of time on my hands and I don't like dirty clothes to pile up. Since working full time on the farm, I find the only free time I have is Sunday. Cheers!!

i live in a condo and i usually let the laundry services do the washing. but if i don't have the budget, i've got no choice but to wash the clothes by myself.. i don't have a washing machine here at my flat as space isn't enough to accommodate lots of things...

I like washing clothes with my hands.i feel that the clothes come out my cleaner.i keep them soaked in warm soapy water first thing in the morning and wash it after an hour or two.And i hang it out in the sun for drying. But i use the washing machine for the heavier items like jeans, bedsheets, curtains and other linen.. i agree with you that you are completely satisfied when you hand wash your clothes.

I think my boy friend must be happy, you know why! Aha, His clothes are washed by me his girl fried. I'd prefer hands washing to machine washing, though we are enough to buy one washing machine, but I always think that they are so clean washed by hands.
