How many of you eat onions (Asin origin vegetable)?

I use onions a lot. Tears come out from my eyes everytime I cut them. I wear contact lenses so I put my contact lenses on when I cut my onions, because I dont have to cry for while. I use onion for salad, burgers, miso soup, fried rice, and many more. I dont know why I like them. They dont taste that good itself but it brings out more flavor when I mix with other foods.

Yeah onions are great, im pretty sure about 90 percent of the people hear will agree with me. They are especially great on hot dogs, fried or regular.

They make you cry because there's a type of acid that is an irritant in them but it's not serious just annoying. My eyes pour choose how I try to cut them. I put them in a lot of cooking because they add flavour. I like them with bits of mint on dipped in that yoghurty sauce you get fron the indian.

I love onions, I eat it with almost everything...even in soy sauce and vinagar...mmmm...good.

All of us love onions. Food without onions is not food for us at our family. When we cut onions, people around the kitchen get tears because it has oil that contains sulphur. Most of the housewives keep the onion in water for 10 minutes before slicing or cutting, so that the tears can be minimised.

I do. It is so tasty when it is fried and mixed in a curry. Perhaps the price of the onion is so high, after paying the money, you get tears.

We use small onions and big onions in various curries. With chapathi, I like tomato fry made of big onion and tomato.

onion contains some sulphur which will make our eyes tears. I like onions because it taste great and most of the dishes will need onions in order to enhance its taste. Whenever I cook, I will first pour a little oil in the wok, heat the oil and put in the onions, I will cook it for a short while as long as the onion is a little soft and the aroma is out. Then, only I will add either meat or vegetables into it and cook until it's ready. Many dishes will not taste as good without onions.
