Fruit Cakes?

I am speaking of the real fruit cake not the so call people that are a little flaky in the head.
Do you like these cakes, have you ever received one as a gift or a present? I think they are really given to people you do not like.
I do not like fruit cakes, and I have given a fruit cake as a gift because the person requested it.
There are people out there that like Fruit Cakes are you one of them?

I love fruit cakes, the ones that you eat and the ones that are human.. I don't eat that much of them but we have one that comes out at the holidays, it is Claxton fruit cakes and I have already bought and eaten one of them.. It just isn't the holidays without at least one of them..

I am a "fruit cake" at times.

Actually, yes I am one of them 
But, I like them when they are moist, not the so-hard-you-can-use-them-for-a-doorstop kind

I am not a fruit cake, though my hubby thinks I am hehe, but I do love fruit cakes but I have not eaten any for a long time, think I'll go and buy one at the weekend, now you got me thinking about them, he he. Hugs.

I haven't had a fruit cake in a very long time. I used to like one that was called ice box fruit cake and was put in the refrig instead of the oven. It had different things in it. A lady I worked with made it every year and it was good. I don't care for the original fruit cake that much. I'll eat it but it's not my favorite thing.

Fruit cake is fine with me. I can eat it but ask me again for another plate and i'll turn you down. LOL! Last Christmas, i've received a fruit cake from my bf's mom. It was good, i really liked the taste of it, maybe because it was really a special fruit cake

I hjave always been on the fence as far as fruit cakes go.
Mostly hanging off the edge of that fence though.
I love the sweetness and the fruit.
But the consistency isn't in my league.
It is a bit thick and heavy for me as a goodie junkie actually.
I have eaten them but I do not buy them at all.
Not for me nor as gifts.
I can do without them.
