Does anyone have a bird as your pet? / myLot

I have heard of people owning a dog or a cat. I own a dog too. My neighbour has a cat. But it is very rare to see people having birds like parrot or love birds as their pets. I'm just curious to find out if anyone here owns a bird as the pet?

It's rare? That's news to me! LOL I have a pet bird. I just got him last month, but I've had other birds before as well. Heck, I've even had ducks as pets before. How bizarre is that?

I have birds! A macaw, lovebirds and a quaker parrot. They are all awesome. They are tame

i did try to have a parrot.but it was so very difficult since we live in an apartment and that we would not be at home for long hours.(all of us were working)

We don't have a bird at the moment as we have two cats. But when our daughtrt was young we used to have two budgies, they were lovely and chatted to us. They made quite a bit of a mess so when our son started to crawl we had to sell them, we were so open plan there was no where to put them.
