Sorry guys but my son started school in September and is in his first nativity play next week and he is one of the three kings bless so proud mummy is off to see him perform his one liner as he gives his gift to Jesus. Can you remember seeing your own childs first school play and what part they played. I am really looking forward to next Friday and if still allowed will film him. Huggles. Ellie S:

Oh, how fantastic, Ellie! Is your son in charge of gold, frankinsence or myrrh? I hope you manage to take lots of pics. My children weren't ever in a nativity play, but I've seen them perform in lots of other things - ballet, piano, etc. It does give you a funny, tickly, nervous and proud feeling in the tummy. I hope you have a wonderful time!

Hi Guybrush, No Jacob will be giving Myrrh. I didn't know how to spell it otherwise I would have quoted his line LOL. I can't wait. If I get some good pics will upload for you to see. Huggles. Ellie :D

That's lovely Ellie hun, you must be so proud. I think nativity plays are wonderful. I remember when my brother was about 4 he was Joseph in his nursery play and the lil brat grabbed the "baby Jesus" from "Mary" and screamed out something like "It's not really baby Jesus, it's just a silly girly dolly" right in the middle of the play and the teachers were horrified whilst the audience roared with laughter! I hope your lad doesn't do that hehe! x

Hi Anonymili, LOL, I can imagine the audience laughing and the teahcers panicking but it is those moments that make the plays when they are that little. He only has one line bless but I will take a pic and record if possible. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi ya ellie333 My eldest was a shepherd in his first school nativity play, do they still call them nativity plays? Is it still ok to call them that? Anyway I can't remember what his words were now but I still have the piece of paper with his lines on somewhere. My middle son started school in January and he does his school Christmas thing next week. I think he is an animal of some sort so he doesn't have anything to say as far as I know! Just 2 more years and it will be my youngest's turn - sigh!

Hi Himbug, Oh they grow so quick don't they. My one has his one line to say also 'I give you Myrrh' and I don't know or care whether it is politically correct or not to say navity, the school os calling it a Christmas Production @The Sleepy Shepherd' We have a Chritingle Service the following week to and they take the children out to church also on occasion which I think is great and that seems not to be allowed on many schools eh! That is wonderful. My daughter is almost 17 years old now. I cannot recall the plays that she was in, in full. It has been too long ago.

Hi Tamara, I am really excited and my daughters are both so sad as one has to work and the other doesn't arrive home from Uni until the weekend after the event. The school has all sorts of rules and regs about taking pics but don't worry I will get a pic to upload. Love & huggles. Ellie :D
