helping strangers or friends without any strings attached is one of the valuable lesson i learned from my dad. he may not be rich but he has such a giving heart. i have been trying to do what i can, in little ways that i can. recently there was a stranger in need. she is a friend of a friend. and i dont kno her. i am just moved in my heart to help. i got this close friend who criticized my action. i told her that sometimes life pressed so hard that we just do the little ways we can to ease someone's burden. may it be a stranger and a friend. she kept on texting me about this. and i dont want to say harsh words to hurt her. she is well meaning and i answered numerous times "point taken". last night i was so so tempted to tell her..."give it a rest, will ya?"... sigh... what would you tell this "well-meaning" friend?

Maybe your friend is just jealous that you were able to help a stranger and not her. Find out why she's so insecure about your actions. Maybe it might shed some light about why she's unable to comprehend your good-will actions.

I would not tell her anything. I would just ignore her text messages. Clearly the two of you are not on the same wave length.
