Do you DREAM when you are sleeping all the time?

I am usually a dreamless sleeper but ever since I got pregnant I found myself having dreams each night: some were funny but most of the time it's just plain weird! Last night by far was the weirdest. My dream went like this: I was on a bus along with my classmates in college on a field trip to somewhere. There were two buses used but I don't know who were on the other bus. My family was also in our car behind following us.It was nighttime when we stopped and all of us students went into this museum/government office of the mayor. We were to spend the night there in one of their rooms. As everyone was preparing for sleep I found out that my pajamas were in our family's car and asked permission from the mayor who was still up that time to go out of the building as my family camped out there. He said yes and I proceeded to retrace the path that we passed earlier in getting inside the building. It was a long but well-lighted hallway with a high ceiling. It was deserted as everyone was probably almost fast asleep that time. When I was near the exit door I noticed two old ladies dressed in almost see-through blouses which were as white as their faces. I never paid attention to them that much as I was eager to get outside to meet my family. Then I found out that the exit was already blocked. AND as I turned around I noticed even more old people dressed in old-fashioned, almost see-thru clothes walking around the hallway. I felt increasing panic at realizing that they were ghosts! The museum that we were supposed to be in was famous for those kind of stories but I never really believed in them at first. Now, I'm face to face with about 15 of them! I tried to walk calmly back to our room but then the ghosts noticed me and started to close in on me. I tried to distract them by stupidly pointing at something far away and while their heads were turned ran for my life, like they do in the movies. The plan failed though as they didn't fall for it. I tried asking for help from the janitor who was wiping some statue nearby but then when he turned to face me he was as pale as his shirt as well! I tried running but like in my other dreams I couldn't run fast enough to get away from them. And then I woke up. My heart was racing and I was feeling cold. It was 4:08am, the same time I woke up the day before, and the day before that. There were a few funny details in my dream though. One elderly lady, dressed in a green blouse was riding on a tiny bicycle. She looked too big for the tiny wheels and handlebars, and she was pedalling really fast. I was also in a big shirt and underwear the entire time. Some of my dreams were really funny that I'd wake up laughing. Some were horrible that I'd wake up in tears. But I'm used to that. It's the "dreaming of ghosts" thing that I'm not so comfortable with. I always believed that your waking hours affect your dreams at night but I haven't been in the habit of thinking about ghosts ever since I was in elementary. I wish I'd have my dreamless sleeps back again. How about you? DO you have dreams when you sleep? What was your weirdest dream so far?

In my country, dreaming of snakes means that whoever those people you are with IN your dream are bound to betray you. I've dreamt about snakes, too, way before grade school and in my dream I was in a hallway with 3 friends. All of a sudden snakes appeared and one of them was chasing me. I told my mother about my dream and she told me to be careful of those 3 people. I was very young that time and those persons were really close to me so I never really put much thought about it. True enough, many years later, I found out that each of them had somehow betrayed me. I should've listened. Well, dreams come in handy sometimes. Whoo... Thanks for posting!

I know what you mean. Whenever my dreams get scary somehow I'd recognize that I'm just dreaming and force myself to wake up.

If I want to dream I will have a hot chocolate or something like this that will stimulate the rems in the mind and allow me to dream while sleeping. If I don't want to dream then I would probably have something as white milk. Coffee or a cup of bean as I call it always gets my mind dreaming although a lot of certain foods and drinks do have some bad circumstances with them. Experiment for yourself and write down what you find when you wake up and you too will see how you can keep away from the night-mares and have some very pleasant dreams. Froyd had written some very good books on the subject as the book "The Interpretation of Dreams". Crocket.

I had done that before I think that was in high school, or college. After grad I didn't have anymore dreams, expecially when I started working, that must've been because of stress or something. Then, recently, I've been dreaming again. I tried thinking up of things that I want to dream about, like cute babies. I had them occasionally but that's it. Thanks for the post!

I was dreaming always when I sleep. But now I won't dream often. I will dream only occasionally. Actually the dreams are nothing but the reflection of our mind. When we have some thoughts or any ambition we will dream at sleep about it. When I was a kid I will dream about something without knowing even about the actual dream. But, now when pressure increases the dream gets reduced. At times when I feel I'm free, I will dream about my future or about something that excites me.

Same here. I could still remember some of the dreams I had when I was younger. I've had dreams I couldn't understand as well. Hmmm... Dreams will probably another one of life's mysteries. Thanks for posting!

I always dream when I'm sleeping. Sometimes in a night, I will have a few dreams. Some dreams I can still remember when I wake up, but some I can't. Sometimes, the dream is so nice that I really want to sleep back and dream about it again. It happens sometimes. I seldom have any weird dreams, as I always dream about my daily life, my family, my friends, it's all in my daily life.

Good for you. There are times, too, when my dream continues even after I wake up, which is cool if I'm dreaming something really nice. I just don't get why I'd get to dream of things I don't think about... Thanks for posting!

Hello, alyssa. I do dream, but I never remember what was it about. In fact, I guess everybody dreams. I think that they just do not remember what the dreams are about. It happens to me. Sometimes I have nightmares, like seeing the loved girl with another guy and things like that, which are pretty childish dreams in my opinion. In my opinion, dreams are the results of your fears and happiness. Result of your emotions, of your life. If you have already been worried about ghosts before, it is natural that you dream about them. In fact, it is natural that everybody dream about ghosts, because we have all heard about them. It is natural to dream about anything at all. I have had strange dreams, like falling from anywhere, fighting against ninjas (I was eight by then), escaping in the back of elephants (I was younger, but older than 8)... Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Well, I have to admit I have been worried about ghosts at one time or another but not in the last 6months, I'm sure of that. Well, maybe that memory about ghosts got stored up in my subconcious and my sleepy mind accidentally let loose of it while I was sleeping that night. Haha! Thanks for the post!

Well, I think I have a dream everyday but I just couldn't remember what I had dreamed of.. Same as you, some of my dreams were funny, horrible and sometimes ghost.. I sometimes woke up crying, sometimes when i woke up my heart really beats fast, then sometimes laughing.. I also dream weird things that could make affect my whole day because I'm thinking about my dreams and trying to figure out something from it.. Sometimes, my dreams came true in real life.. I don't know what's with our dreams but I think it makes our sleep more relaxing and somehow entertaining.. I can't share to you my weirdest dream that I've ever had because I couldn't remember it anymore.. I can easily forget my dreams because I don't take it very seriously.. With so many dreams that i have I couldn't remember it anymore.. Actually, most of the time I don't remember my dreams when i woke up.. It easily fades away in my mind and even how I tried to remember it I just can't... But you believe it or not I can remember my dreams through some signs.. Like for example, I buy something in the grocery then when I hold that item it just came out in my mind about my dream in the same situation and then able to know what will happen next.. Well, I am very amazed with my dreams because it will give me an idea of what possible things might happen and it seems a good sign for me.. But sometimes I take for granted with the signs given especially if I'm not in a good mood and because of that I encounter problems after that..

Wow, so you must be psychic or something! Amazing! I wish I'd get to see a little bit of the future, too, through my dreams. The only psychic phenomenon that I get from my dreams if the feeling that I've dreamt it before, or maybe have seen a particular scene in real life before. Deja vu. Thanks for the post!

no one ever remembers EVERY dream they have EVERY night. however, it is psychologically proven that if you continually repeat to yourself, "I can easily and vividly remember my dreams" Most people don't remember them every night, or even most nights. No one knows why some people do and some don't. I remember mine most the time, and I always have. Pretty much everyone else I know rarely remembers a dream, unless it's very strange.

I always get dreams while sleeping. i can't stop them because it's not in my hand. But it's good for me because i will get some good and bad things. It may be a thing about my personal life about other activities and many more. I also get some dreams like i won the cricket game in the national lavel as a team captain. It's difficult to achieve but in dream we will do whatever we want.

I know what you mean. When I was younger and got addicted to Mary Poppins, I'd always pray to God to make my umbrella fly so that I could hang on to it and fly as well, just like Mary did in the movie. (LOL This is embarrassing!) Anyway, I'd dream about it every night for about a week or two. I was always checking my umbrella then everytime I'd wake up to see if my dream was real. Thanks for posting!

I always have dreams that are very strange and funny but feel so real the moment I wake up.Sometimes, the dream contains almost all the elements in daytime. For example, the people around me and the things happening around me and my friends in daytime. The dream just makes them up in a totally different order and an opposite or wrong logic. So,it seems like a review of my yesterday's life. But sometimes,I dream a story which will happen in a few days. That's unbelievable when I do something that appeared in one of my dreams, the familiar scene makes me feel uncomfortable. That's weird, isn't it?

It is weird, but hey, you're not alone on that one. That happened to me, too -- not lately anyway but it did happen lots of times before, especially during high school. The feeling of deja vu is weird. It makes you feel you're on a Matrix movie.

When I was younger I used to have dreams, during the times that I am dreaming, I know that I am dreaming but when I wake up, I usually forget what my dream was all about. Now that I am older, it seems like I do not have anymore, very seldom do I have dreams. Maybe because my mind is too tired from work that it have to rest at night too and so I don't have dreams or maybe I do have dreams but I can no longer recall because when I wake up in the morning I am always in a hurry to get ready for work.

I was the same way. Getting pregnant changed everything. If you are anything like me, your dreams will get even stranger after the babies born. I think it has something to do with not getting enough sleep. Perhaps you just remember your dreams better because you never are fast asleep.

Maybe you dream of things that you don't like so much, like maybe an overbearing, bossy co-worker, or probably that nasty neighbor's dog who barks like crazy at you... hehehe I sometimes don't remember my dreams, or remember that I dreamt but couldn't remember what it was specifically. And I get what you meant by making you feel tired. Sometimes I don't feel at all rested after sleeping for 10 hours! Thanks for posting!
