Mine is the screen saver of Diner Dash. I've been addicted to that game for sometime and that screen saver moves as if someone is playing the game when there's actually none.

I used the My Pictures as screensaver in my computer, as we love looking at the pictures in random. But lately, I turned the screensaver off. I just felt like I have to.

I am currently using windows vista screen saver. I recommend to use the screen savers by default. There is a risk of having viruses when we download screen savers from internet, these also use much of our CPU speed and graphics, as you said. thank you and you too have a nice day.

I use high graphical screen savers because they make the system beautiful but they make the system slow and sometimes my system hangs because of these screen savers but still there are screen savers which take less system resources and give out high graphic out put generally i use a fish tank screen saver

If any screensaver takes system resources when it is not active (i.e. you are working on your computer), there is something very wrong going on in your system.

I love screensavers. Used to change them to suit my mood. But since switching to Vista which is already low on RAM, I had to turn it off so as not to slow down my pc.

I am now using the vista default screensaver. And I think it is good.I once used Leopard Aurora screensave and it seems more glorious.Maybe you can search and find the screensaver which suit you best.

I don't use screen saver since it cause my laptop getting hot. Screen saver might consume some memory of our computer. Some 3D screen saver involving graphic memory. So i suggest to turn off the screen saver to save memory and protect our PC.

I dont use screensavers on my computer. I have switched it off as I think its probably better to switch off the screen itself. It will save more power and help save electricity. If I have to go out or leave my PC for a longer period, I either Hibernate my PC or shut it down. Obviosuly after saving all my work. I prefer hibernating my PC.

Its interesting that I have never downloaded any screensaver. There is a screensaver on my computer (i think the most well known in tha whole world for decades..lol) where little white dots are coming from the middle of the screen. I dont know the name of it, but as you mentioned I realise know that it is really boring to see it alwasy... I think I will change to another one.. lol

Aah!! I use the windows Xp default as my screensaver and the most interesting thing is that it didn't yet came for more than 1 year lolzz ;)..because my system won't keep idle for that much of time.I set the tie for 30 mins. And I didn't allow the screensaver to run on my system. I don't like any graphical screensavers,I don't know why. I also set the desktop background as the default... Happy mylotting!!!!

I use the Mac OS X default Computer Name screensaver. I just happen to like the name of my computer. Umm, logon.scr (the Windows XP default) has about no system overhead whatsoever... But those other screensavers you download are not bad for your processor (it is EXTREMELY hard to damage a processor from Windows without special tools), but they might have malware and therefore be bad for your system. That and they could be poorly written such that they take more system resources than they need. I recommend NOT downloading screensavers from the internet except from Microsoft or Stardock. Use your wallpaper to spice things up. Screensavers are just that: they are meant to stop burn in, and secondarily to secure a computer after a specific time against unauthorized access. But maybe that is the systems administrator in me.

I have my desk top photograph of my grandson. My screen saver is pink and blue animated bubbles. I used to have an animated flashing one but it used up to much ram before I got some more. I love the animated one It said "Take a break have a cup of tea" Vista has very few screen savers. They need to sort vista out though I hate it. XP was much better for stuff.

My latest screen saver is my favorite actor photos. I used to see my favorite actor photos in my system whenever I have time. I kept that itself in the screen saver. My friends too liked that. Even some of them collected that photos from me to keep it as their screen saver. I won't keep more graphics content in screen saver. I just kept the photos as a slide show.
