My dad liked to drink. There was many a night he didn't even bother coming home from work because he'd stopped at the taproom and forgot he had a home. There were other times that he'd stop by when he had me with him and I'd sit at the bar eating peanuts and pretzels and a meatball sandwich feeling like a bigshot or playing shuffleboard with the sawdusted freestanding board and disk. Sometimes, he'd even let me sit in his lap behind the wheel of the car to steer as we got near home. But, THIS was never something he attempted to do - he did manage to retain some semblance of respectability and decorum when it came to personal responsibility (he drove drunk, but HE drove - no one else).

WTF was this guy thinking? That as long as HE wasn't doing the driving that it would be OK?? What a moron!!
Anyone else with me on that one?

What an idiot! I swear people become totally demented when they are this drunk.

He apparently wasn't thinking about anything but his next drink...He is damn lucky nothing happened to his son...MY god...how stupid can someone get...
I went through the same things you did and worse...not a happy scene when someone is drunk...
