When staying in a guest room, in what condition do you leave it?

I absolutely leave it as neat and tidy as possible. I believe that the housekeeping staff are there to make sure each room is ready for a new occupant. They are not personal slaves. How you leave the room is a reflection on the type of person you are. I happen to be neat, clean and have a great deal of respect for others.

Whenever, I stay at someone's house or at a hotel, I always tidy the room up before I leave. If I am at someone's house, before I leave I will take the sheets off of the bed so that they can be laundered and I make the bed and make sure that I did not leave anything laying around. When I stay at a hotel, I make sure that everything that is garbage is in the garbage can, and leave the dirty towels in a pile in the bathroom, I also tidy up the bed.

i am a neatness freak and i try my level best not to untidy the surroundings.

I would not do the bed but besides that I would try to keep everywhere clean and do not leave a mess behind me. The guest keepers should be respected. I do try to leave the room as tidy as possible.

I would leave it in avery good condition.

If I am visiting someone, I leave the room as neat as possible. If I rent a room I will leave the bed unmade as they will want to strip it and launder the bed linen.

If I am a guest in someone's home I tidy up the room, offer to strip the bed (some people prefer to wait til just before the next guest is staying so the sheets are fresher to change them) and make sure that its left as was. A hotel room I tidy up after myself and i make the bed. I don't strip the bed. I make sure to wipe up any spills or that sort of thing and i place the used towels in the bathtub or where the notes say to place them.

I would leave the guest room the way that I found it

I always clean up just before leaving. I think it's really unnecessary and rude to leave a big mess. Granted I don't make the beds but I do make sure everything is picked up. If there is a kitchen I make sure dishes are clean and counters are wiped too.
