I'm always looking for free events, as I like to save money. Here is one that might be in your area. On Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, Young Chef's Academy is sponsoring a free event at their locations all across the U.S.A. This free event includes hands-on culinary activities for children and their parents, food tastings, giveaways, and more. Ages 3 and up are welcome to attend. Find out more details http://www.youngchefsacademy.com/theparentinggroup.php.

That would be the funniest thing ever to take my granddaughter to. Unfortunately we have our family Christmas (with my brother.sister...nephews and nieces) tomorrow but thanks for the info anyway! It would have been a blast!

There is one in my state, but it is like a 3 hour drive from here. It sounds like something my son would have enjoyed.

I used to take my kids to events like this, although we never had this particular one when they were growing up. My youngest who is now 20 wanted to be a chef a couple of years ago but now he's going for his MBA. I always go for the freebies! Unfortunately, they're few and far between at this time. I'm tempted to take a tour of a few old houses here but it'll cost $10 and I'm still deciding whether I want to spent that money or not.
