I lost my Grandmother, Mother and Uncle to cancer but the most difficult loss was losing my Son to lung cancer. He was 27 years old and a non smoker. He passed away 12/23/04 and it never gets any easier. The holiday season will never be the same for DH and I. Tyr to concentrate on all of the good memories that you have of them both and good luck to you.

Hey there yes indeed I have on the end of September I lost my father to that horriable word used cancer but it was a while coming and even expected it at some stage I have since had my first birthday since he has gone and tommorow will be my first christmas with out him around but at least now he does not have to suffer and I do not know for sure but am lead to believe it is in a better place to this day when I hear certian songs or even the bang pipes playing which I could sit and listen to for a whole day if I had to I at the moment do not seem to be able to as you may of discovered with the bang pipes the reason why I at the moment can not listen to them even know they are part of me as I have scottish in me is it reminds me to much of my dear father. Yes i have lost someone to cancer,my daddy, almost 5 yrs now,and no it doesn't get easier, especially around holidays,Christmas time was his favorite. It hasn't been the same since he's been gone, also my bet friends dad who you might as well say raised me most of my teenage life,i was always there.recently passed from cancer, hasn't even been 6 mths yet.and friends who have been fighting cancer,~big giant hugs to you~ i know nothing can help ease the pain, but talk to them like they are still with you there, write them letters, about how your day, week whatever has been, and set them free on the lake or tie them to a balloon on special days like a birthday and let them float to them ~hugs again~

Sorry for your loss. Yes I lost my father in law, my mother in law and my brother in law. It is very very hard. Then to add more stress my husband and myself both got cancer. Thank God we are both cancer free. I will keep you in my prayers tonight to help you deal with your loss.
