What do retired people do all day?

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.
Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop.
We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.
We went up to him and said, 'Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?
He ignored us and continued writing the ticket.. I called him a Nazi turd. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires.
So my wife called him a sh!t-head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.
Personally, we didn't care. We came into town by bus. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age.

Hello barehugs. It needs to have some fun after getting retired from work. But I am wondering if you will have to go and pay for the fine or the ticket that the cop wrote to you? Have fun, friend.

That was too funny and too wrong at the same time. I really hope this is a joke that you picked up somewhere, because I know the person that owned the car was hopping mad when they came out if you did this for real. You have to think of that person though, what if they were struggling already? What if they were just getting by, and now they have all these tickets to pay? I mean, I know you and your wife need stuff to do now that you are retired, but isn't Mylot enough? Go read a book or something!

hahaha this is funny!! you make me laugh. It is nice to be retired though. I think being retired is boring if you will not do something to make your day fun.. like what you did? riding a bus and then make fun of the cop who issued tickets to drivers? hahaha You make me feel like I want to retire also..

It's a lot of fun!!!

What? You mean that wasn't your car? That is so funny. But cruel! I do try to smile at the elderly whenever I see someone who looks as though they are really old, because I think they seem to really love that. You know, when they're very old, and nobody pays attention to them. I'm not saying anything about old people, but you know.

Really interesting thing you have done. In our country the situation is a bit different. Senior citizens are not viewed so strictly. Things are, however, changing rapidly.
I am also curious what will I do make my retired life enjoyable. My father has retired in 1993 and had no problem in passing his days without feeling about retirement. I never have discussed thatwith him. But I think he never have tried anything conciously. God knows, whether i will be able to accept the situation normally.

Here the retired people usually have busy schedules. They will go to the park to do some exercises/dance/sing in the morning. Some even attend the classes to learn. Then they will have a break at noon. In the afternoon, probably they will watch TV or go to the market to buy the food and prepare for the dinner. Some retired people help their children to take good care of their babies.
I love China

I agree that many retirees are able to keep busy. Some just hang around taunting the police as they write out tickets. Others drive sick seniors to the Doctor, and still others deliver meals on wheels. Only God knows for sure what all seniors do, she She isn't telling!

Goodness did you really do this? Lol. I work in a retirement home and most of the time they really don't do much of anything fun, just getting them to play bingo is a job and a half.

No, this was just an attempt at Humor. If you didn't see the joke I'm sorry. No one got hurt and nobody was inconvenienced. Life is always a Joke but only if you make it so! I never stop trying to find the humor in every situation. Sometimes I am even able to succeed!

Dear friend,
That is really would be something special, any how it might be depend upon one's taste and interest. May be the energy level too. Anyhow as you call him a Nazi turd may be it would be his own way but still the options are always open to all. Behaving according the age is big factor.

Yes, I agree. Humor for seniors is as important as in any age group. I've always appreciated humor. If this had been a true story, it could have included the fun the car owner had as he prepared to beat the case in court. The policeman was not very intelligent as he kept writing out tickets for a variety of less and less important, and more and more, trivial infringements of the law. There is no doubt in my mind, these tickets would have been thrown out of a Court of Law.

That reminds me greatly of my granddaughter saying cruel things to people and then saying "I was just joking". I finally told her a joke is funny. That wasn't funny to the other person, so it didn't qualify as a joke.
I'm a senior citizen too, and I like to add a little fun to my life too, but not at the expense of someone else.

Sorry once again for the disillusionment, and mental suffering, I put you through as you read my attempt at a JOKE. This was just a story! (I could have put a dis-clamor at the beginning) This senior citizen is sorry his attempt caused so much grief and aggravation. . .
