This morning i was going to run to the grocery store. I was aware it was cold but not REALLY cold it is. My neighbour said it was -50 celcius with the wind chill. Needless to say with the car accident on wedensday my blockheater cord appears to not be working. So i went out and got the battery charger to charge the battery. I've left it there since oh 10 am its 4:!5 now and i just clued in (after going and trying to start it a few times) that hey theres switch on the little charger i was supposed to flip and it hasnt actually been charging for the last 6 hours. I was worried the charger or my battery was hooped but it was just me having a blond moment. Do you have to plug your car in to keep the block heater on where you are? Have you ever thought something was working and it wasnt even turned on?

I have done the switch thing. I cannot remember what, but I know I have. I do not have to plug in to start, usually, although some days I have had some sluggish cars. When I drove school bus, we did plug them in. I hope you could get by with what you did not get at the store.

I can get by - just have to change my menu for the get together tomorrow to things i have in the house and hope it works out. My dad came and got me this evening when the power was out for 5 hours because i was cold and they have wood fireplace in the house so they were warm. He's going to fix my plug for the block heater tomorrow for me.
