It has to be kumar sangakkara. No doubt he is a great batsman. He also holds the record for the highest partnership in test cricket including first class matches.

In one day , i think Rickky is the best since he can play both attacking and defensive style. He can score runs like he was in hurry and he can stood like a rock in the crease if required.

The best batsman I have ever seen is none other than Sachin Tendular. I also like the Pakistani batsman Afridi.

the most difficult position in the all forms of the cricket is the third position . i think that the best one down batsman is Rickey ponting . this is because he has really played well in that position and has also managed to take his team out of the critical positions i think that dhoni is also a good batsman in the no.3 position he is averaging good at this postion and 183 not out the best score by a wicket keeper was scored by him when he came at the third position or the one down

From whatever cricket i have seen since middle eighties, king richards was by far the best.as long as he used to be with a bat he played like a king.and perhaps the younger generation who will never agree i would like to tell them that pitches were very true then.most of the cricket apart from india and pakistan was played on real fast tracks.i just cant forget the way king richards used to rule on the cricket pitch.

Usually one down position is reserved for the best batsman of the team. So, obviously the choice is hard. The dlema is understandable if you have to choose from the likes of Tendulkar,Ponting, mark waugh, dean Jones, lara etc. My choice for best One down batsman will be sir VIV RICHARDS. Mylotters who are much younger than me would not have had the priviledge to have watched richards in action. He sent shivers down the spine of opposition & during his time was the undisputed no:1 batsman in the world.
