which do u prefered? beauty or brainy partner?

I think i will go for a mix of both. i cannot vote for any one of them in the extreme. i cannot be able to have a life partner who is very intelligent but have a scary look. on the other hand i will also not be able to put up with one who is beautiful without the brain. Perhaps nobody will like only one of the two. However i will compromise beauty for brain for the obvious reason.. happy mylotting

I'd go for a person I thought was smart over one who was just good looking and nothing else. I think you need to like a person for who they are, not what they look like, because in 10 or so years we're all going to look different.

I was lucky enough to find both, but I think I'd choose the brainy partner if I was thinking with my head. It is true enough beauty can fade with age and physical changes like extreme weight loss or gain. However, most of us think with our hearts or other parts when choosing a partner. I once dated an absolute idiot for 3 years, just because he was so darn HOT. I guess it depends if you are looking for a true partner or sole mate or a good life mate. A friend of mine once said, you'll have a happier marriage if neither partner is in love with each other, but instead both have a deep respect and friendly love towards each other. Less hurt feelings, less jealousy and more fun all around. Another friend of mine once said, you are friends with your friends, you sleep with your husband. She believed you should get a husband who made your heart go pitter patter, and your loins throb, but if you need a shoulder to cry on or someone to share lifes joys and pain with, count on your friends instead. I guess in the first scenario, you'd pick the brainy partner, and in the second the beauty. Luckilly, I didn't have to pick. :)
