hmm... did you observe the fella for a period of time before you go about your daily routine? Was he there for a long time? Did you call the police to report this fella?

Useless? Then what is the taxpayer's dollars doing? I sure hope nothing happened. With the economy in turmoil, a lot of people have gone a little off the chart. Anything can turn into a violent scene, especially if the issue is about money. Or the lack of it.

Why did he tell you this? To scare you or keep you from answering door or going outside? Did he call it in to the police? Or did you call it in to police? Something like that needs reported right away.

Oh wow, I think that would of scared the crap out of me. I know the weird thinsg people do does not surprise me anymore. I just recently moved from a bad neighborhood. Which I am very thankful for. As there was a bunch of trouble makers my teen was hanging around with and getting in to alot of trouble.

Friend request happily accepted. Since she's not staring at your house what's to worry about? Plus she'd need something much bigger to even be considered around mine. As Crockadile Dundee says " That's not a knife... This is a knife!"

I consider that situation funny but you still need to take precautions, you know. Some people might ignore that and just find it weird. But I would be worried, if I were you. You can´t risk your life or your hubby´s or the kid´s (if you have any). It´s better to be cautious than ignore such things.

Maybe your hubby should write terror stories. He would make some money at it it would seem. Butcher knife? Blank look? Hmm! Interesting. You just never know! Would be scarey though.

I thing he or you should have called the cops, this might have been a mental patient who could hurt himself or somebody else.

Hi moon, ohhh...I will be scared if that is the situation and for sure, I will just stay in our window and observe what he or she will do and will never open the door! And will call the police if ever I will see her walking down in the house!

Yes, I think you probably should be a little worried . But at least s/he wasn't standing outside your house with a knife. Yes, maybe you should avoid answering your door, and have a heavy frying pan at the ready just in case (good for bashing people with).

I couldn't tell you if you should be worried or not but it could have been nothing more than some animal in her house that he/she didn't really want to deal with. LOL Or, it could have been a maniac who didn't care who saw them, but that seems unlikely to me. Personally, If I were going to come at someone with a huge butcher knife, I wouldn't be standing there with it in my hand for everyone to see! Then again, it could have been a person in his/her house who was dangerous and he/she was standing outside, waiting for the next thing to happen while protecting him/herself with the knife. Did you ever find out why that man/ugly woman was standing there with a butcher knife?

I wouldn't worry, but I'd still call the police to let them know that there's someone outside who might cause problems for others. At least with them they'll be aware of the situation and you wouldn't have to be scared at all. Hope she's gone now! Haha

ummm a butcher knife? probably a toy knife in which the blade goes in whe yo strike something. No need to worry. Such things keep happening. mad people are seldom dangerous. By now in any case he woudl have been caught and put in an asylum. however, best safety lies in fear so better keep your door closed.

I think that is funny. I don't think you should worry. There could always be an explanation. People look at things the way they want to see it, but never know if the way it appears is the way it is.
